I'm Garrett. I'm new to this forum but have enjoyed reading the posts for a little while now.

I'm 21 and studying to be a painter. Music is my life beyond the art studio though...I played piano classically for 9 years and then picked up a guitar in 8th grade because it looked cooler than piano and I thought it would get me girls. Instead, I got really into the guitar and it didn't do much for my love life  but it's the best thing ever. volume, fuzz, and disorienting tremolo is probably the best combination known to man.

I was obsessed with Hendrix and SRV through most of high school (with a short but memorable heavy metal phase in there somewhere) and copied every lick of theirs I could. Then I found out about Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Animal Collective. After seeing MBV and AC last year, my concept of music has changed drastically but for the better I hope. Any music that can be instantly visual is a plus in my book.

Hey all!
My name is Adrian Schnyder. I live in Alaska, I'm 24, and I love noise, lo-fi, and hip-hop music. I play drums in a lo-fi band, The Moon Knights, and I have a side noise/electronic project, The Wolfblitzer. myspace.com/themoonknights myspace.com/reztilbflowYou can find either of my bands on twitter too! The sax player in The Moon Knights introduced me to devi ever pedals. I love comic books too! Sick. Stoked to be around.

Hi everyone, I'm the Brettski.

I've been playing guitar for fourteen years, and teaching said instrument for seven. I'm currently studying to be a mechanical engineer but have actually passed a circuit analysis course and am very interested in electronics.

As a guitar player, I came up under the tutelage of my father who's been playing for about fifty years, several teachers in the Jacksonville FL area, and Rickey Medlocke of Skynyrd and Blackfoot fame. I play rock, blues, metal, whatever I can wrap my head around. Right now, I'm learning gay jazz because I'm tired of dianetics....er...diatonics.

I play an American Standard strat with Dimarzios, a Les Paul '68 Historic, and a custom Despagni Jem through a variety of amps and a bajillion pedals, but my fav right now are my Fender Hotrod Deville, Tonebone Classic, and Carbon Copy delay. I don't own any Devi's yet, but I hope to change that very soon!!

Thanks for the input so far and for dealing with me in the future. :poke:

Hi, my name is Rick Walker and I've been a professional drummer/percussionist/producer/band leader for
over 30 years.

At the age of 55 (this year) I fell in love with noise and distortion and mayhem for the first time.

Last night I had my first debut with my solo RHYTHM/NOISE project called Aether Engine
I played a Stratocaster tuned D D D D D (the sixth string broke because I detuned it to much (!), but I made
each D just slightly out of tune from each other D so that it would still excite the overtones once mangled
and yet still read monolithically as a single pitch.
I also played Toy Music Box (a piece which I debuted in a headlining show at the Luggage Store Experimental Music
Series in San Francisco ----here if you are curious ---- http://www.youtube.com/rickwalkerlivelooper),
Toy Megaphones, Solo Acapella Vocals (with faux noise and industrial imitations), noise blasters, a huge
maching bass drum with chains draped over the head to fuck it up and a huge marching snare drum with similar chains
and a kazoo (yeah, I know, how weird is that).

Anyway, I had a good crowd and I really enjoyed myself. I was 2 to 3 times as old as everyone else on the show
(called Noise Mondays) but there was no aegism in the crowd at all and I was really well recieved.

Now I"m eager to overcome my fear of soldering and start learning how to build really quirky, glitchy and noisy
stomp box pedals.

I moderate the Stomp Box Pedals, Audio Plugin Junkies Annonymous and Live Looping tribes at tribe.net so
come on over if you are interested in some lively discussions.

Nice to be here. I got my first Devi Ever 'Eye of God' pedal in the mail yesterday and
I'm in love.

Yeah FUZZ!

Hi, I'm Tom. I live in Wisconsin. I like music more than anything else, but usually find that I don't have as much time for it as I would like. I am a long time forums lurker, and am just starting to post stuff now; I have found some pretty good information about stuff in some forums, and I like having people to trade stuff with. I enjoy: ice cream, Swedish Fish, and long walks on the beach...
Good deals with:
