its the 1590XX case, same as teh 856 model we put out. the jacks are all top mount, you can see a proto of the pcbs here.

it is big for a pedal but probably the same size as most pedals with this many controls and 3 footswitch (and 5 jacks).

I was actually surprised when I saw the 856, I thought it was was going to be bigger based on all the controls. A big pedal for sure, but smaller than expected

1590XX always look huge in photos and relatively compact in real life.

will it have a hold function on one of the stomps?

no it does not have any feature like that. the stomps jsut turn on and off the multiplier and divider signal, that is all for this unit. on this unit all the knobs just do more or less what they say, there is no alt functions really or anything like that, it is mostly analog.
