"Let’s start with the bad news: The robots are stealing our jobs.

That may sound like science fiction hyperbole to many of you, but it really shouldn’t — it’s been happening for years, and there are now hundreds of jobs disappearing every day."

Most of our jobs are going overseas to China. One sad day our children will say to us, dad what is a job? Sad but I think it will be a reality one day. :idk:

If I get replaced or ruined or killed by a robot it'd better look all industrial and badass, not some bullshit designed by people who work in offices that have ball pits and beanbag chairs.
T-800-level at the very least. For it to resemble hospital equipment or happy Skynet would be the worst.

I think Skynet designed the badass looking robots. So I think you'll be in good shape; unless Google starts cranking out machine soldiers, you'll be taken out by a hard machine-designed killing machine, and I'd bet there won't be any white plastic.

i just sold a pedal to someone through kijiji.
asked to meet at the local gas station. ( i've dealt with sketch bags )

so.

he was concerned if the pedal worked 100%
my ad stated this. as well as the info that is was still under WARRANTY!

and i answered his email ..
"i confirm it works just as new.
the serial number is in long and mcquades database.
and. is still under warranty.

if you'd like to meet at shell at 3. let me know thanks."

well. when i meet this guy. right away he starts up about if the pedal works.
( it really is NEW in the box ) i stated the long and mcquade facts again.
and. that he can contact me if .. its not working.

fine. good.

then .........

he pulls down his sun glasses .. all cool ... " so .. really . how's the latency ... etc. "
i gave him some short. answers.

then ....

" well .. what if i have to replace ... "

i just stopped him there.

he finally gets his wallet out. yeah! some change...
he says .. " this was lat minute "

i said. you emailed me. i asked you .. what time??

i gave him a short speech about .. i'm not a store etc.
and. that. i didnt drive to meet him to "dicuss" a deal. when we've already made one.

a bitter taste is in my mouth.

update. shorted me $2 cause of the change :thumb:

I hate this so much. If I can't find someone I already know who wants what I'm selling I either do it here or go to L&M or or locally owned and hope that the guys there can be talked into giving me a good trade value. Wasted way to much time with kijiji and craigslist people

i should have listed in the BST here. but. it wasn't anything special. Digitech.

Just found out that my company provided health insurance is costing almost $600 / month. I asked around my friends what they're paying, and nobody is paying over $300 for an individual plan. I'm hoping I can have that money added to my salary if I decline the company provided health insurance, and just get a cheaper plan on my own.

Also, have to do my taxes and I am woefully unprepared this year.

They provide it, but it's money that could be part of my salary, and could have been for the past 5 and a half years. Which like, I do ok, but I'm still underpaid for what I should be getting.

Ah ok. I thought you had been paying some kind of insane monthly rate or something. Jesus.

I'm at the outer-end of Ct5 wait time and I've got this totally irrational fear that I fucked up the order somehow and it isn't coming -- even though I'm like 98% sure that it is.

I haven't heard of Scott letting anyone fall through the cracks. I actually had a CT5 that wasn't working properly and it eventually got replaced by him. He kept good communication with me the whole time.
