I'm so behind.
I need to read the new firmware settings.
and see which I want to use I guess.

I'm also really behind. I didn't realize there was a new firmware. Where can I read about new firmware?
I don't even know which revision I have, although I assume it's an early one because I think I was in on one of the first batches.

I would like to ask the same question. Had it since late 2014 and never got round to any updates, no idea where to start!

You can read the firmware updates on the mtlasm website.
Pop off the backplate and you'll be able to see the board revision somewhere on the PCB. I don't remember where it's located exactly though, but just poke around with some proper lighting.

Hi,
If you have had it since 2014 your version might not work with the latest updates. please check the pcb revision, then you can download the latest firmware for that version here:

this is simply because i'm not fast enough to do it by holding it down and releasing it in mode 2

besides, momentary in mode 1 does something else by now i believe.
don't worry scott. i'll get by
(but i would pay to get it!)
hi
hopefully later this year i can offer some custom programming. i have a lot of work right now so i cannot do it at the moment but it should be possible.

Sorry for the self promotion here, but I thought I'd post this as we ended up using the Count to Five on this track.
The whirly swirly layers that sit serve as the intro and sit underneath the track was done with the following Mode 3, all three loops, quantized to 5ths and octaves CT5>Small Stone>Limbo 2.
I really wanted to thicken the song up and add some sort of movement to it, so I basically got on the floor and improvised with the CT5.
Here's the loop isolation.

Again, sorry for the self promotion, just thought people might be interested to hear the CT5 in a recorded context.

Hope you dig the song.

Cheers, that was nice and easy! Reading all the functions of the latest ones maybe I need to swap up though..

ok so we are approaching another batch rolling out of these so it gets the usual firmware massage.
any suggestions considered again, but here is the main updates:
1) mode one does what vidret suggested more or less. if you hold down the soft switch the data in the buffer stops changing and will just keep looping while the soft switch is held.
2) you can save the state of all "hidden" parameters (ie anything accessed by holding Q in one direction and moving the pots, such as lfo in mode 1, volumes in mode 3 etc). the saved setting becomes the power on default. its like having 1 preset basically. you can also recall the preset without power cycling. quantization mode is also saved etc.
that's it.
also if you emailed me about custom firmware and i lost touch i will get back to you soon. the last bit was busy so i did not have time to follow up on much. finally getting out of fab and back into development.....

These updates sound like great ideas!
Are they going to be for Rev L only? Or...?
