Swapping the guts wouldn't have worked corroded face plate etc.
and then both would have been modified.

No.. he did the logical, kept the beat up one and sold the pretty one for big big $$$.

2008 Fender Blues DeVille

I just got my Fender Power Chorus back from a repair shop and it sounds AMAZING! I'm not kidding guys it sounds great when I first bought it it sounded nothing like this. I was going to sell it but I might keep it for now. The guy said that Fender did this thing back in the 80s ( I don't remember what it was  ) that made it so that a lot of treble kicked in when pedal were engaged and he fixed it. Now all my pedals sound like they should :yay:

Reminiscent of Sunn 0))) in the pic for some reason. Surprised your cat hasn't moved away from the loud area to the quiet one.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Looking at all these awesome setups, I wonder if I should even bother... :idk: But here goes.

Image

My Fender Super Champ XD. A good amp for practicing (and probably for small gigs, though I wouldn't know, really.), it's got a number of good voicings and can get pretty loud.

I'm hoping at some point to get myself a Marshall JCM 800 or Mesa/Boogie Single Rectifier in the near future.

A shot of the back of the amp, just because I think it's a good photo.

Yeah I wan't an older Marshall plexi amp. Actually I tried an old Traynor YBM-1 the other day and it souded AWESOME (hell of a lot better than the JCM 900 they had there. The tone was kind of like a Marhsall mixed with a 60s Bassman. So I went home and did some research and a lot of peole love these amps, turns out their notorious for sounding like Marshall plexis!!!
Anyone tried one of these?
