ya i am trying to make things now that have expression inputs expression pedal or 0-5 v compatible. not everything we have made is this way but moving forward i try to keep it in mind. particularly with devices like what spruce moose is delivering etc. mumma mia.

 … but the most important question, is the enclosure gonna be PURPLE?
probably, but that is why the name is only tentative.

i picked up 2 shades from prismatic to test, one is very pale /almost grey which i am digging and the other is more typical. hopefully in about 2 weeks i will have a final unit to show.

https://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors ... ded-Grape/
https://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors ... RAPECICLE/

if neither of them look good we will go with a different color i think and call it "sorry chank" instead

Damnit, I recently bought a 4046-m. Any point in having both or is there too much overlap? Expression control sounds cool but not enough difference to justify having 2 PLLs on my board.

ya i have never played a 4046-m but it looks like a total beast. We even helped Andrew with his cases in the last run . I can't really comment if it's worth having 2 plls, i own 4 whammys and a pitch factor (with no regrets). the question of whether its worth buying something is left to the consumer.

That grey purple looks hot. URL-wise it's a much better choice: I'd take Ded Grape over Rapecicle any day.

I think I just died of pre-coffee musings over what a rapecicle would be. :erm:

Pedal seems neat!

Definitely hoping to get in on this. I really love my 4046, but CV control has my boner at full mast & I'm definitely gonna try and hop on this one. Also I think 2xPLL is an experiment that's gotta be tried at least once

I'm not too familiar with PLL's so when you say 'remove mechanical control' do you mean it'd be stepless intervals from the mult/div unlike the 4046/Schumann which has a discreet set of harmonies available?
If so, I'm really curious how that would work out, as I feel like the only sense of stability found within the PLL comes from its undying commitment to scream very specific notes at you. I've turned the tracking down on my 4046 and let it do its thing, but I guess I don't find that sound particularly useful?

Also unreasonably excited about the prospect of a purple Mtl Asm pedal

its still steps. i think from at least looking at pictures, most pll circuits use what the schuman one did whch is using a mechanical rotary switch to select different output pins of a counter IC. this is hard to control with a cv. so i made a diferent circuit where you can select the multiplier/divider value with a cv. but it is still in steps. like if there were only 2 values, pot less than noon would pick the first, pot more than half would pick the second, etc.

I want it so bad!!! I've got a PLL now and contacted the builder about somehow doing exp control. The design wasn't able to do that so this will now be my white whale. Errrrrg. Patience is not a virtue I hold.

What's the enclosure size? All top jacks? (including power)

Knowing whether it will even fit on my board will help me make a decision on whether to get this or not. Don't have a lot of space available to spare.
