Oooooooh fuck yes—listening now. Been waiting for them to come out with something new...
Hopefully they'll come through soon, seeing that they're out of Dallas.
Also... why do they live in Dallas?

Started listening to Phantogram again after some of the hype I've seen for the new album.
I'm not huge on the new song, though. It's kinda generic sounding compared to their older stuff, to me .

I like listening to Nightlife whenever I drive at night.
Started doing that when I had to drive really early in the morning (2-4 am-ish) across the state at my last job and it's one of my favourite albums to listen to whenever I drive, for some reason.
It sure is. But dude, have you heard "Edge of Time" by Dom or "Electric Silence" by Dzyan? Oh shit, and Popol Vuh. Not to forget the allmighty Ash Ra Tempel. So much from that era of kraut.

i never would have pegged Manfred Mann (of "Blinded by the Light" fame) as having made an awesomely weird psych/prog album.
the bass is super fuzzy, the vocals are druggy, the drums sound like they weren't even mic'd up, there are unexpectedly crisp horn arrangements. bizarre! I like it!
