brndnwilliams wrote:Scott, have you decided if there will be more fewtilities this/next month? Also, can you give any info on what the puhzing is? A ring mod with exp and wet/dry? And what is the other thing that you've been playing since December? Thank you
No i don't think we will have any fewt 1 in feb unfortunately because we are way too busy with other projects and most stuff we are finishing now we had hoped for nov/dec 2016 (hence 2016 backplates on puhzing etc

). But we could make more soon if we can become more efficient. Most people requested that it have more headroom so it needs to get a bit redesigned first. To test "more headroom" off a standard 9v supply i made this matrix mixer using a better psu design but have not had time to test the pcbs yet. But if it works the same idea can just get used in the next fewtility one rev.
I also start to test the 4/6 channel dsp setup which woudl be a nice compliment to a matrix mixer etc .
the puhzing is just a simple ring mod, it has exp/ 0-5V CV in for frequency. It is like a ring mod brother of your and you're/square wave antics. Since many people ask we try to make all expression ins from now on also 0-5 CV in (on new designs).
I am going to NAMM in a few days but hopefully when i get back we can really rip on getting some new things out. But basically the shop is occupied with chewing through a larger run of 856 right now which is the priority, then we will have something else new, then maybe some of the above. By then it will probably be 2020. :/
anyway once something is in the store we have it, other wise it's all just talking shit.
happy new year.

Came here to talk about the PLL too haha
I just got a 4046-m, but I am certainly curious to hear your take on it.
Is that what these are?

yes i will have a final prototype soon, both of the main main pcb fab ppl i use are on vacation due to chinese new year until the end of this week, then i should have the final version. only 2 small errors on the last board stack. fml.
not a schuman clone though or anything but maybe not so much divergence in spirit depending on how much of a purist you are, most of the redundant controls have been axed and more fun added instead. Really the main idea was to get rid of the mechanical selectors for multiplier and divider and make them Expression/CV controllable instead. Then i put an lfo in to make arpeggio type sounds when you modulate the math . here is a teaser of the panel.
top top row text is the input/output/expression/cv ins. You can use expression or 0-5V CV, there are a few dip switches inside the unit to select which. LFO expression can control rate or duty cycle of an lfo, selectable via another internal dip. ...
Top row can enable a test signal if you prefer not to shred, some parameters for the gating of the input and some tracking control.
Second row some LFO controls and the multiply/divide controls
Bottom row is simply a mixer and EQ.
Footswitches to kill/enable the multiplier/divider signal and bypass.
features subject to change without notice but it is unlikely at this point.
good luck.

DUDE!!!
this looks sick. and use that ring mod your making to modulate it further into fun weirdness.
OH YES.
