New music! New video!

The tenth anniversary of my being a guy-who-makes-music-in-public is coming up next month, so making some plans for that.

Haven't dug around yet, but the acquaintance who posted this said there are other gems to be had on this channel as well.

I asked the awesome trumpeter Lina Allemano to bring something out for my series, and she put together this intriguing trio, backed by a pair of synth players. Excellent textures!

(Caleb Klager, playing modular here, also did a short solo set to open the night.)

An on another synth flavour, here's some radiophonic tale-spinning with sounds from a couple of those always-mysterious Ciat-Lonbarde devices:

Getting caught up on ILF after some vacation time! (My browser at home still doesn't like the website for whatever reason, so I tend to check in when I'm at work.)

Anyway, from a little while back, here's my 10th anniversary solo performance. First half is mostly soothing ambient zone, second set gets a little more glitchy and disruptive, including some fun with light-triggered synth sounds:

Just got up some documentation from a cool, noisy night. I'm a huge fan of the folks at Ministry of Phonic Services, a local label/events-putting-on duo that specialize in going off the grid and reclaiming (public) space. This show was in a brilliant spot by a subway emergency access point in the shadow of a huge highway underpass.

Headlining set here, a release celebration for a duo album from noise legend Brian Ruryk and junk percussionist %%30%30:

And some other cool sets as well, not gonna embed everything here, but they're all in this playlist.
