Oh, yeah, I should probably add that I hate heavy guitars. My favourite wood in terms of weight, feel, and (perhaps most importantly) sound, that I've played is korina.

I think my dream guitar is probably something like... a semi-hollow korina in a V-ish shape with bigbsy (with an elongated arm), a quiet lipstick-like pickup and a low output flat response humbucker, pickup blend knobs, and a natural finish. (As for necks, I think that I haven't played enough to have an informed opinion. I like the '58 D profile and pau ferro, but I'd like it if it were just a tiny bit thinner than on my V.)
Wellll you could get creative and get a dean acoustic V and a V bigsby kit and mod your own horrible monster..
Have entertained similar thoughts... Also thought about bigsby-ing my present flying v.

Millimetric MG6 is pretty rad for the purposes that you describe.

And they play and sound every bit as good as they look. Florian is a badass.

That's... actually pretty cool. Now, if only they were an order of magnitude cheaper... hah!

Yes I get that high quality stuff made by a small operation is going to be pricey but sadly the cost means I'll probably never try one.

Yeah, I too understand fundamental capitalism. Doesn't mean we have to like it! :(
