I know.. you want a bass. here you go, 420 year old bass [plus ton of repairs because that's how it is.. violin family instruments are made to break and be fixed over and over again]

Wood can be fixed, replaced, by hand. A double bass with could last even if we ended up back in the stone age with a bid of elbow grease

Very true. If we're allowing for
repairs I wood probably bet on my double bass. Or just find some wire and a 3020 broom handle and get my wash tub bass on
Oh wow that stainless bass looks terrible.

If there are no Stingrays to be found, you can keep your stinky dystopian future!
But out of the two, probably a precision as I've played a couple of nice ones in my time.
