hmm yeah i guess this is what i'm afraid of. that would probably break the delay.
it's not a patchable thing in the traditional sense which is a huge reason why i thought it wasn't exactly what i wanted it to be. i need to think more.

So are the various patch jacks just connecting different points of the circuit like a bunch of switches and that's why having the switch instead made sense?

exactly. it's essentially a circuit bent delay for which i made the patch bay for experimenting purposes.

I was thinking about that too but depending on where the patch points are I definitely think some of it could work besides I like breaking things.
