it's been interesting...Gibson seems to have heard the critiques and is bringing out more affordable guitars under the Gibson marque, while Fender seems to be going to more expensive models even in the Squier line.

In the last few weeks MF has had a couple different gibsons rolled out for their Stupid Daily Deals...they did the same thing with the RD Reissues, one day was black, and the next day was the natural color...:idk:

I saw that RD sale, surprising as that fucker was only recently reissued.

MF must have some overstock issues.

GC doesn't want to come off as the corporate monopoly they're evolving into. Thus, they buy up everything but avoid changing names to preserve existing clientele. This way, when you reach that inevitable life moment where you scream "FUCK YOU GC! ILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!" they know the uninformed will end up at MF or Music 123 or whatever else they own.

Dicks!

It's frustrating though as they stock different shit online but all ship out of the same warehouse. When my friend uses his GC discount in a MF online item, it's a fucking red tape, endless phone call nightmare.

Sorry for the rant, harboring a touch of GC hate...

MF can get away with no sales tax (unless you live where the warehouses are :p )

GC has to charge sales tax in every state where they have a retail location.

Go figure, the warehouse is in my state. They'll also hit you with sales tax if you reside where the call centers or corporate offices are.
