Yeah, I think that control plate is stock on a '65 Duo-Sonic.

you expect me to pay attention to what that thing was?

tbh, even if i'd bothered to read the listing, that wouldn't have come to my attention bc i've never paid any real attention to duosonics. which is odd, considering i'm playing on sunday with someone who has a sixties duosonic which i've seen dozens of times, and the only things i could tell you about that guitar are that it was stripped and stained church-basement-brown; and it was drilled out for a string-through bridge.

whether it has a chrome control plate tho?

oh, and it has a duncan replacement pickup - sounds pretty nice in its one middle pickup way....

That's what I was gonna suggest.

Yeah, I think the late '50s/earlier Sixties Duo-Sonics had a one-piece pickguard (first aluminum and then plastic). Somewhere around the mid-Sixties I think they switched to two-piece 'guards/control plates.

really me neither.. all guitars for me fall into the small category so small guitars are really not something I pay much attention.. honestly I thought that was a mutilated mustang..
