Well, if it makes you feel better, it's not like I have a Model T or anything, the Sunns at home are a Concert Bass and Beta Lead...there's also a couple more ampeg cabs (my wife is an amazingly tolerant woman), an old B40 head and recently I picked up a VT40. I guess I know what I like...

Kind of what I was getting at with the escalation comment was more in the vein of what you said. Not out-doing, so much as just trying to destroy the minds (bowels and vaginas,too) of the uninitiated. I think a small amount of friendly one-upmanship among us doomers isn't a bad thing when the end product is rigs like yours. It's good for all of us in the end. Its like Gear Darwinism.
