as long as it's not "KKK." that there is a deal-breaker.

That's literally the only thing my dad texts.
But it's more from laziness and not knowing how to text.

Kk is obnoxious though. I can't stand text shorthand, especially when it's a girl that is romantically interested.

today has sucked. first i got in a screaming argument with my cousin because he wouldn't quit whining about how unfair it is that instead of having a second interview for a job on Thursday he'll have to wait till Monday because they want to also see another candidate that day and i tried to tell him that all he was doing was repeating the same argument over and over again for DAYS. then i cleared tons of old messages from my Hotmail box and wound up encountering messages from my ex sending me LOLs from ICHC, our correspondence when i was in Amsterdam for the Gong reunion in 2006, the e-mail from my (now-deceased) brother telling me my Mom was dead, etc. To make things totally complicated and weird, now that i'm about to leave town i get an e-mail offering me an interview for a job here when i've already started packing (i packed away all my effects and pedalboards yesterday) and don't want to be here any more, but would have to stay for awhile because i need money. motherfucking phooey. i SO wish i had some weed to smoke. i want to break down and cry, but all that'll do is make my face wet.

I'd bet if you search back through this thread, you'll find some advice of your own that may be helpful.

I even know what I would say to myself. This is the first time I've ever not been able to take my own advice. It's the first time I've ever felt like I needed someone. It's the first time I have ever not known what to do.

Not to be harsh but if the feeling isn't mutual, there isn't ANYTHING that you can do.
Tell her exactly how you feel and then drop it. The sooner you move along the better off you'll be.
I've been there, it's a waste of time and energy to do anything else.

MEC speaks the truth. I would guess many of us have been in similar positions to you and can relate.
It's hard, but if it's a one sided deal, you got to move on before you get really down...
It'll work out, dude!

Jfrey, I know it's pretty much impossible, but, yeah, what MEC said. This month I've finally stopped hoping that things will work out (and stopped endlessly plotting and trying to get things to work out) between me and this girl who dumped me back in 2007. My point being, you'll waste a lot of your life; try not to, if you can help it.

Tonight, I came to the conclusion that this girl I'm interested doesn't want to be more than friends (like I said, "came to the conclusion")

then I got drunk. Then my ex (who I've wanted to get back together with), ran into me and said hi. I was too drunk to notice.

Fuck you Bastille Days, you're all sorts of bad news.
