Really? I actually like the inverted socket. I would probably do something like that if I ever grabbed a Strat

I think kooks all around the world should be encouraged to make whatever weird shit they want to see in the world. He's charging $250 or whatever, it rules.

That's gotta be one of the worst knob placements I've ever seen though.

They do mention in the description that this is a one off because they've updated the pickguard layout, which is probably a good choice based on where that knob is

Yeah that one is actually like an hours drive from me lol. I was... mildly tempted to try it.

fyi... most of the time the reason someone does a reverted strat jack is because the body is too thin for most other output jack setups other than flushmounts

Ah that is a good point, hadn't thought of that.

and/or because the jack plate sunk into the body is a huge pain in the ass that makes it impossible to use a cable with a 90-degree plug. also, when the plate is installed normally with a cable with straight plugs it puts the jack at an angle to the body which makes the plug stick out at about a 30-degree angle and snag on anything within range, particularly clothing. Ry Cooder did this with at least some of his Strats.
