Every day I'm counting down until mine is done!!! I'm planning on taking off work and having the shipping company hold it at the hub so I can pick it up early and have all day to enjoy it!

On the Mother, if I plug in to the overdrive input, which has the footswitchable gain, does that mean that if I have the gain switched "off" it acts just like the normal channel, then I can stomp on the gain? Like essentially one is the simple version and the other is the same with the option to add overdrive or not?
Hey Peter, just wanted to clarify for you and others that even through the Drive control is now switchable on the MkII, the signal path is not the same as plugging into the Normal Input when its switched off. What I mean is that you are still going through the Overdrive input's circuitry, and switching off the Drive control just 'throttles' the gain down to it's minimum level. Hope that makes sense!
Cool. Thanks for that! That actually makes it even more useful for me because you sort of get potential settings. I'm stoked! I think I'm about a week into my 21 wait haha

I don't think I can take off work for new amp day. But, I do work from home, so at least it won't be sitting out on the porch for long.

You pick one or the other and if you pick normal you made the wrong choice

I had a Hellhawk MKI and to be honest I wasn't very impressed. I traded my Bad Cat Hot Cat 50 for it and It was a mistake. I loved Kid Crash as a teenager and his branding is great and the heads look super cool but I didn't like the Hellhawk. It was very brittle sounding to me so I thought maybe the tubes were shot, so I replaced all the tubes, that didn't help. The amp has a lot of features like push pull pots and different goal gains between the two gain knobs but I just want finding anything I really liked, especially coming from a Bad Cat. Maybe his others are better and maybe the MKii models are better, I'd like to try a Decolonizer in the future. One of my favorite bands is Foxing and one of the guitarists has a Science and when I saw them live he was getting eaten up by the other guitarist. I blame that mostly due to the Science guy using a Mustang and the other using a Strat and the strat cuts the mix harder but it really bummed me out because I wanted to really hear that thing. I have a friend who had a Mother and said it was amazing for his Doom band, claims it was like a better, louder Verellen. Who knows, is like to give the MKii a shot. As for now my Matchless Clubman is incredible and I love the tones of an EF86

I wonder that too, I would never get a hell hawk since I am not into the marshall tone but ironically I loved my sovtek.

My only thought was: I've heard all sorts of pro's and con's, rants and gushing reviews, about amps from the big companies like Fender and Marshall. Probably true that there's going to be people that don't like their Science amp, and that's fine with me. :idk:

It's definitely a worse feeling though when it comes to custom amps because you wait so much time and save so much money for it. So internally I'm sure one builds a lot of hype towards the amp/purchase so when it doesn't meet what they want the disappointment can feel worse. Its the risk ya take, at least it seems these sort of amps are fast sells even if its kinda a bummer when ya feel like it wasn't for you. From the sounds of it though, I will dig my amp anyway haha
