It's not quite "Hi, I'm better than a Univibe" of my DOD 595 18v monster, but I would be happy with it as a basic bitch phaser, but let's be real, that's not why I have it.
It's NEVER going to leave bright fuzz mode. That sizzle is astounding, especially when fed into an octave fuzz and a tremolo.
Had I known that they were this good, I'd have shelled out for a Jet Phaser OG model long ago.
I'm also considering having the fuzz circuit cloned on its own by a builder because I'm very partial to it - running the Bee Baa boost into the Jet Phaser is a glorious thing, and it MIGHT be more glorious if I Could switch the phase off (or re-arrange the order, which a modular standalone would do).
The fast-slow switch is far more musical and useful than I thought it'd be - using it to ride the edge of feedback is a glorious ride.

Thanks, good to know!
Yeah, I've always wanted a Jet Phaser.
Nice that there's a more affordable alternative. Seems like somethin' I might wanna acquire.

The Jet Phaser in action, just it and Lexicon rackmount reverb (and my usual channel strip tube EQ):
I don't need it but it looks and sounds very good.
I would love him to make a flanger with a similar approach. And no tap tempo.
Actually i just want a flanger that looks like this.

Yeah, I'd get a Mattoverse flanger. (Hear that, Matt? )

Would probably have a higher grime factor if it'd had a feedback knob, but it sounded so good I had to grab one.
Will report back once I've had a chance to play a bit.

First impressions of the Mattoverse Just A Phase:
Wide range on the rate control. Goes from pretty slow to really fast.
Depth/character control has a nice range on it as well.
I think I would've preferred the waveform control as a switch instead of a dial. Maybe that's just me? I'm probably only gonna use three or so waveforms. Some of the others are likely too subtle for me. Obviously, sine is a given. I'll probably choose a couple others as "go to" waveforms and leave it at that.
A feedback knob would've been more useful to me.
Sounds fantastic though!
It's a little picky as to what dirt it's paired with however. Still experimenting on that front. (Sounds great right after that ARC Shepherd I'm borrowing from you, Dandolin, with the mids switch set to the right [boosted]!)
Sounds good in combination with other phasers as well.
