Probably posted this before. If you asked my favorite noise project between 2013-2016... I probably would have said CREMATION LILY and anything else on the 'Strange Rules' label. Sentimental Power Electronics. Nostalgic Power Electronics. The two releases are a good 'tip your toe in the water'.

Actually, Strange Rules put out this zine / short story thing that to this day is one of the best things I have read... in my life. Forget INFINITE JEST or ATLAS SHRUGGED. This was amazing. It was only like 9 pages but it evoked so much emotion.

Yeah TG is a pretty massive influence on me but more or less everything that comes afterwards that Gen's related to is not my bag.

Re-Coil:
Those two fell out with Gen/PTV pretty early on & started Coil afterwards. Likewise with a lot of people in that Orbit: David Tibet of C93, Ossian Brown of Coil/Cyclobe etc. I'd recommend reading Cosy's book, England's Hidden Reverse, and general interviews where this stuff is discussed with Peter, Johnn and others. There's also a big PopMatters expose on it that was published last week-ish.

Anyway, there is some merit to a very small amount of the musical element of TOPY. The rest of it is a decidedly mixed bag. Suffice it to say that you're much better off investigating the wider orbit of adjacent artists. Especially Cyclobe & The Stargazer's Assistant.

My last record is more or less me interpreting what it would be like to be in this band and doing a shit job of it.
