what did you end up doing for the cab?
i saw you were considering the 1960 cab...i recently got one with G12T-75...and i would rate them pretty highly...if its an old one like mine, they are well made and those speakers sound really good.

Thanks mang. Yeah I'm glad it all worked out. Finally ready to gig. The 6x10 pushes out the loooows, Think I'm gonna sit on this setup until I can afford something tube in the 200watt range.

If I remember correctly, that's the same 610 that Ax had. I think he swooped it from the local GC for like $150, but didn't keep it around because it had some weird ohmage load of like 6ohms or some shit.

yep same deal. I would have kept it but the temptation to resell for something we had more of a need for was to great. I think it ended up helping to pay for the simms watts.

Yeah the 6ohm setup was how they were originally wired I think? This one has new speakers and is wired for stereo, 8ohms each. Which ended up working out nice for that two amp setup.

I have an opportunity to snag a RG 150 ES (randall) for 90 bucks. I've done some research but there isn't really anything out there about these heads. I'm assuming it's just a louder RG 100 ES. Anyone out there know about the RG150?
Forgot to mention that it would be a 2 hour drive to get it. But 90 bucks is cheap for a good head...
Think it's worth the travel?

I'm not too familar with particular model, but for hell 90 bucks ain't too bad, hell make a day out of it since it's a 2 hour drive. I just saw a Randall RG 200 ES go for 1400 on ebay, so that 150 might have some value to it.

I found a Randall century 170 on craigslist for 125. Trying to talk him into 100 bucks. It's 1 hour drive so not so bad.
What do you guys think? Rg 150 or century 170?
