Re: Post Your Rig: Doom Edition
What up doom peoples, first time posting, been lurking for the last 3 months or so ever since I got a desk job and have needed to find something to occupy my free time with on the internet. Anyways, so many unbelievably killer rigs, like damn you all are killin the game, here is my humble and slowly growing collection.
Amps: Drip edge Dual Showman and Fender 212 loaded with v30's, 5150 and ms412 cab, Acoustic 150b, Peavey Classic 400, Acoustic ported 215, Ampeg b25 215.
Guitars: 1980 Vantage Artist 800 neck thru (with very crucial cat strap), None more black custom Tele deluxe with p90's and a bigsby (I'll get a pic of this up once I fix some wiring issues)
Pedals: I've change the chain a bit since I took that pic, now its a older EB Volume pedal, tc polytune, Earthbound Audio Supercollider, Ibanez DS7, Fuzzrocious Demon 2nd gain knob mod, EHX Deluxe memory boy, Fuzzrocious Afterlife, Radial aby. I've got a Verellen big spider and fuzzrocious ram the manparts that make up my bass rig board.

Will be keeping this one but there's another (possibly a PA 200) that I'll be sorting and selling in a few months, gonna be a painful price on the shipping with one of these amps.AxAxSxS wrote:dibs on flip
Hey you don't see many in Ireland either. Who's the guy in Europe you're talking about? Would it be a member of Staer?sunnamp33 wrote:Oh man! Those are on my short list. Great first post Rick, might as well start with a bang.
Sunn, how the fuck did they do that? take a hammer and just smash it around inside before packing it up?

Wow, that's a tasty rig. Don't think I've ever seen your pedals before - that's a whole lot of win to choose from.Corey Y wrote:Playing around with the new rig, snapped a couple pics...

Re: Post Your Rig: Doom Edition
Thanks, I just got rid of about half of what I had pedal wise too. A bunch of boutique stuff. I might purge some more stuff and buy a few new things soon. I can get the core tones I like with pretty much just the Dunwich stuff, except for a straight ahead Muff. I've got a Magick Fuzz on the way though.t-rey wrote:Wow, that's a tasty rig. Re: Post Your Rig: Doom Edition
Is the Magick Fuzz a muff derivative? I'm pretty curious about those. And Dunwich dirt seems like it really brings the win. I missed out on an HM2 that looked just like yours for $120 yesterday. The bummer was substantial.

Re: Post Your Rig: Doom Edition
Yeah, the Magick Fuzz is a really thick sounding modded Muff tone. Most of the Dunwich Fuzz is Fuzz Face based, though with a lot of modifications and added gain. The Cthulhu Fuzz (my standard and Deluxe versions both) sounds killer through this setup. The Volt Thrower is winning big time right now though.t-rey wrote:Is the Magick Fuzz a muff derivative? Are you talking about the one that Moose was selling? One will come up again eventually, not sure when the next production run is. If you ever want to borrow mine to check out you can, just pay for the shipping. I don't use it as much as I do the Volt Thrower or my custom Black Goat Distortion, but it's definitely cool.

That's what I do for a living, sell windows. I could jam in the storage warehouse, but that display room is carpeted and has a high ceiling.ShaolinLambKiller wrote:Nice corey but why are you set up in a window warehouse?
