I'm actually thinking of keeping either the empress or In Limbo for my Bass VI rig, depends on which sells first.

The ghost and basic audio ones are Silicon. This one is Ge. Jimmy Behan makes a Ge one for a good value. Don't know how close it gets though (UG says he makes good stuff and I believe him). I am borrowing a Ghost and getting a Basic Audio in too. Comparasons! UG has a video of two different Si ones (JMI and Ghost).

I didn't have a battery around for the ghost, but so far the Basic Audio is a lot less noisy and less gated (less feedback too). I will be testing out the ghost later. Should be a blast! edit: just messed around with it for about 5 minutes. The Ghost is one hell of a punk rock fuzz distortion.

So far, to me the differences between the OG Rush Pepbox and the Ghost Silicon Pep box are that the ghost is has more treble, more sustain, less gating, and less extreme feedback and decay. The Rush Ge Pepbox is more bassy, more saturated (meaning more fuzzy) has wilder decay and feedback. I'd also say that the Ge is harder to use because of the saturation and gate. The Ghost is in the same ballpark though, just more punk rock sounding, and less "horn"-like if that makes anysense. More later plus proof?

I actually have been wanting a Warmjet V these days too.

I'm sorry, man.

It was just too good an opportunity. Enjoy it though. I've thought about getting one of those RM-1n for a while.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/321778640615 Different transistors though. The rush has ACY41 and that one has Sanyos. Probably not much different? Seems neat though.

Man alive, I would love to have one of them. But they are cost prohibitive, and there is like a 3 year waiting list too I believe. Hang drums are like the Toneczar of tuned percussion.
