You know how you become accustomed to seeing a similar thing over and over, and you sort of don't really see it for what it is anymore (Viktor Shklovsky's theory on defamiliarization, right lordgalvar? wink, wink).

Anyways, my point is, this is what has happened to me with your board, jwar. And I'm so sorry. I took a few minutes just now to simply stare at it, imagining the sounds and combinations... Absofruitly bonerlicious! :snax:

What's interesting is the signal path. :) That creates some crazy tones. Keep in mind I'm a bass player too, so I don't get a lot of wild stuff anymore, it just doesn't work well.

I just tried to break it down and I already can't remember! hahahaha.

I have fuzz in front of od and od in front of fuzz, then delay before fuzz and reverb before fuzz as well as after, then a bunch of other weird combos. Two things in the VFE FX loop and the Hail Satan is 3rd to last in the chain. hahaha.

It sounds NUTS. Everything is super loud and some pedals clean up others and boost them. It's a great layout for me.

What's funny is I kind of did it on accident and love it.

I can't even imagine trying to stop on a switch on that thing, jwar. It freaks me out haha. I can handle 5 pedals max before I start going "Hey there's rattle crow and gomorrah (or 46), I'm just going to play those" and forget about everything else.

You've got a gift and a crazy pedal board, man. Defamiliarization? This thing desensitizes...

Do you like keep a notebook of settings with you? It just boggles my mind keeping track of stuff in a show setting.

edit: I think the polar bear needs a mind flayer face to fit with the new "occult" themes on the board. haha

Just put this together today, and I'm pretty happy with it. I run my CP Jazzmaster into the Ernie Ball VPJR and a Boss TU-2, and then I have it go through 2 choruses before the dirt so that the modulation is more present when the dirt is added. First is the EHX Small Clone, set for real nice full chorus, and then it goes into a Peavey CMC-1 (which I just got in today, which I currently have set very slow and shallow just to thicken up the tone, but maybe that'll change.) From there it's right into the Fulltone OCD set at about 2:00 on the gain. I'm using it for pretty aggressive sounds, but it cleans up real well with the volume pedal/guitar's volume. It then goes into a TC Hall of Fame, using Jonsi from Sigur Ros' toneprint thing, it's real massive and gorgeous sounding. The Precipice is just a painted MXR Carbon Copy, set for quiet ambient repeats, and the Cathedral is being used for my standard reverb sounds, reverse, and the infinite switch. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with it, but some things may change eventually

Do you use Gomorrah on Bass?

I've been GASing for one forever but I don't know if its good on Bass.

Currently my only audience is my wife and kids. :( So not worries on that front. I mostly play for fun. If I were to gig, which I don't even have time for right now, I'd get a real small board for just the essentials.
