sounds absolutely great but the treadle functions on these enclosures are absolutely terrible, so much mechanical noise and you don't even get the full sweep of the pot. i'm gonna rehouse it in a desktop enclosure with a huge knob instead of the treadle, should be really fun as a noise generator.

I'm going to sell my Warped Vinyl and upgrade, but I'm really torn between the WV MkII or the Gravitas.

Dude, that is a toss up. Honestly the Wombtone is also looking pretty awesome. :trippy:

it's just a really illogical thing to use performance-wise, i'm curious if anybody has actually used it as intended on any proper recording ever. like if you fade the noise out you have to swell it back in to turn off the pedal, and the volume pedal mode doesn't actually go to full volume because of the short sweep
honestly treadle function aside i think the circuitry sounds just as good as anything else from the era, the hurricane sound in particular is really amazing.

Hate to be a wet blanket, but stealing is never cool. No matter who you think you're stealing from. Just because you are poor and the store has a Big Business name on the front does not make it ok.

Just saying.

Awesome haul!

And I agree with Glenouille. I guess I'm a little Kantian like that. Act only on a maxim if you wish for it to become a universal law of nature... or whatever. Haven't read Kant in years. It's all a little fuzzy

It never ocurred to me before and the thought has probably been thought a million times before, but could I not invert Kants reasoning? If the mega-corps are stealing from me I can assume it's the way they want to be treated too?

I don't actually, anyway food is cheap enough in germany, I think our food price to gross income ratio is like the cheapest in the world. In the post on the last page I was exaggerating a little. Plus there is a food sharing station nearby. In the worst case I can simply get food for free there.

This so much.

Guys, seriously. That shit is fucked up. You want to go down for stealing a fucking rack of lamb or some shit? That's stupid as hell. If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. Your theft still affect the bottom line of the company no matter how large. It's not a victim-less crime, that's a justification for doing something that is wrong.

I love you guys, but good God. Make a thread about it and I'll avoid it.

Chill dudes, no one was going to make a shoplifting thread. I know I wasn't. And the victimless crime part was a joke on the Simpsons.
I don't shoplift anymore. I used to do it because we couldn't afford to live, pay rent, pay bills, eat. My theory was that the penalty for stealing cheap food or stealing expensive food was the same. So I stole the expensive food. At the time I was studying full time, working part time and the missus was working a full time job and a part time job and we were still struggling. It was our only choice to survive. :idk: it wasn't about want it was about need.
Sorry for the original post that started this whole subject.
