Pumped for you dudes. Can't wait for the album - I want to get a van and airbrush the cover on it, then ride around blasting it.emptyparadigm wrote:Thanks, my man! I'm really excited too. Not sure when preorders will begin, but probably not too far in the future.
Also, for those who haven't seen it, Khemmis signed with 20 Buck Spin. We're crazy pumped.![]()

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I've been away from technology lately as I have been busy remodeling the kitchen. Drywall went up today and now i get to take a break that doesn't involve working my real job to get out of the house.
Tons of cool Doom Room shit happening in the mean time.
I know Tony won that damn Boneshaker. Really excited by that Khemmis art, holy balls it's tight.
And that new High On Fire track is pretty awesome. Excited to catch them on tour this summer, with Pallbearer, no less.

See current series of Vikings for more on this topic (seriously, if you haven't been watching, do so).AxAxSxS wrote:I'm with ya on that for a lot of bands.D.o.S. wrote: Yesh. This is more up my alley for sure, insofar as it reminds me of UFOMammut without the synths. Good stuff nonetheless, I just think I'm always going to be a little late to the party involving Conan. Would drive a couple hours to see them live, probably not preorder the album, you know?
Think about it man. "Olga, who did this to you, who knocked you up?!!!"D.o.S. wrote:If you go around claiming you're "The Allfather" then wouldn't it be more likely that you'd automatically lose a paternity lawsuit?
"It was..... Odin"
uh huh................ Odin you say.................. SUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure it was.
On the flipside of that, who is gonna punch Odin's lights out for giving their old lady one night in Valhalla?
Ragnar Lothbrok, that's who.

Also, on Conan, DoS it really is wirth checking out their catalogue and catching them live. They have a fairly different approach to each album while remaining consistant to their sound, I think.
Blood Eagle is a bit more like slowed the fuck down hardcore/thrash whereas Monnos is like glacial sludge.
Horseback.... is different again.
That Bongripper split track is more spacy for them.
And it is all fucking good live.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
new mad max is so fucking amazing. will be going to see it again soon.
Saw Master last night. most the bands used this shit:

So obviously every band sounded like shit. oh wait lets take that back... the guitar was largely inaudible. basically 2 half stacks using that and a Hartke 412's fucking ugh. and inaudible even with the shit being miced out. the kicks drowned out any guitar that was coming through the PA.
bass sounded great no idea what it was it was cause it was some smallish metal box thing, not orange. no fucking amp porn at all. Oh opening band who was local used the solid state EVh head, it sounded decent though his cabs were shit cause it wasn't pushing anything either.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Interesting story on the actor who played the guitar guy on Mad Max, and yes, I will be seeing again. And then maybe again.

Also, that thing is actually functional. The dude actually had to jam out during the takes, with a real flame throwing guitar. That's about as doom as you can get

iOTA is a really interesting preformer. Quite quick on his feet as far wits go as well. Really strange to see him do that in a film, but also kinda rad.Beasleyboy wrote:Interesting story on the actor who played the guitar guy on Mad Max, and yes, I will be seeing again. And then maybe again.

Hopefully I can get some time to go see that film in the next few weeks.
Annoyingly, I think you guys get a US release before we get it here.
