Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
Hey guys. It has been a while, but I'm back.
Here's a brief overview of the damage I've done since I was last active:
The most recent acquisition is a Gibson Les Paul Custom 60s Reissue in a finish that pictures do not do justice.
After a bunch of Fenders I wasn't sure if I'd like this but I tried this out for a while in the store (against a similar Black Beauty Reissue) and walked away with this one.
Sort of a graduation present to myself.
To balance out my Prophet, I finally got a Moog Sub 37 to add some much needed low end to my synthesizer game off a good deal with Sweetwater. It's absolutely fantastic, though I'm still learning how to navigate all of the wonderful features that are available on it. I love that there is not a whole lot of menu diving - (almost) everything is present on the front face.
Surprisingly enough, my pedalboard has expanded the "least" relative to all of my other endeavors. I think the biggest pickup I made was the Moogerfooger 104M Delay and the Strymon BlueSky, but I'm still looking for a few new acquisitions to replace some effects and to balance everything out. To be completely honest I love the 104M but it's not as much of a WOW pedal as I initially thought. Nowadays I'm using it for my main delay when the Timeline is in looper mode. I recently brought the Skreddy Echo back onto the board and oddly enough it plays the best with the fuzz/distortion that I use. I usually swap out the first two pedals (ABSynth+Echo) with the others in the top right to keep things moving/fresh.
In terms of moving forward, I just found out about the new Strymon Timeline controller pedal which is the first thing on my list. I'm also still captivated by some of the other Strymon pedals (Deco/Flint/Lex) but the only one I'm truly enamored with is the Deco (and I don't know why). That Warped Vinyl pedal seems like it would be a great addition to my board with the warmth it can provide. That plus the Deco seems like a winning combination. I'd also like to get a phaser but I really have no clue what the current phaser landscape is. I honestly might just go with a simple Phase 90/45.
My biggest need, though, is a new amplifier to go along with the new guitar I got. My AC15C1 isn't cutting it anymore. I demo'd the guitar with a Fender 68' Custom Twin Reverb and it sounded spectacular but I'm not 100% sold on that amp. Unfortunately I wasn't able to test it with pedals. I would LOVE some recommendations for some great amps that can handle pedals, have lots of clean headroom, but can also get dirty. Does anyone have experience with that amp?
Aside from all the gear, how is everyone doing?

In: UC's Devi DB/Hyperion combo
Man, what a nasty beast! I spent a solid half hour cranking all the knobs up, putting a Muff clone in front and letting the thing squeal on its own. Going to have a lot of fun with it~

Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
I had a drink or two the other night.
And wasn't shopping for a phaser.
But I ended up on Reverb anyhow.
And found an original Subdecay Quasar...
...for only $75 shipped. I said
!
But then when it arrived today?
HOLY FUCK.
Absolutely whacky and wild! I had no idea.
