They are actually really awesome. I think they have the same character as the 5 knobs in terms of how they are voiced. I like that at least the ones I have are true bypass or if they aren't true bypass, they don't color the signal like the old DMM I had would when bypassed. They sit well, and although they don't have the modulation I don't miss it as much as I thought that I would. When I had my old DMM I only used the mod very very slightly to chorus the repeats anyways. I think they are total sleepers!
Well, because I still don't have self-control, I think I'm gonna be picking up this Guzheng in Philly. Mostly because I wonder what would it be like to run this thing through a multitude of effects pedals. Also because Guzhengs are sweet.

I'm not quite getting how a phase inverter would be used in a pedal. Just tapping off one side, so it's not really inverting anything?

Please oh please tell me that this is 100% truly a preamp that I could plug directly into a Poweramp.

I have no idea hos it works. It just Sounds exactly like ny old Orange OR 120'ies. I'll ask the maker for details.
This blurb is from his site: " this pedal has a catodyne phase inverter both to drive the negative-feedback based presence control and to produce those sweet grainy overtones!"
