hahahaha

I'm messing with you dude.

I actually get in the same mind set a lot of times. haha. That's why I've flipped soooooooo many pedals. It's hard to find shit that sounds good with bass. Or that sounds crucial.

That's my main thing. I know I need a nice chunky overdrive, a synthy fuzz (cause I don't hate it ;) ) and a more open, roaring kinda fuzz. Mini, Magnetar, and Buzzz. But what else do I need? Maybe something oscillating. 4545?

I just don't know anymore.

See for me, the end of my bass crunch sound has been a Toneczar Openhaus. Which is funny because it doesn't work as well on passive bass. It works fantastic on active bass with a tube amp. OMG. Amazing tones for days and days. Couple that with the B7K and you've got the grindiest, dirtiest tone ever. For overdrive.

I have the dual mini, but use it more for a full on blast your ass distortion. Not as an OD. haha.

I honestly don't think you need an oscillating fuzz personally, I know right? Especially being a bass player, but it's all preference. Some of the best are Dwarfcraft and I just got a God Hates Fuzz. Awesome fucking fuzz for 100 bucks! I did not the like the 4545 on bass. I've owned it like 4 times and have tried to jive with it. It just doesn't work. Too extreme for me.

It oscillates, has a starve control and goes from super meaty to super thin. :) The fuzz tone, I'm not sure what it's based on, but it's fucking raunchy. I love it dude. For a 100 bucks new, fuck, I don't think this can be beat. Especially since the Oscillation has the big ass knob you can move with your foot. Would be nice to have expression over it, but it's a 100 dollar fuzz. So, it's very, very good for the price.

I did noticed that the bypass switch makes a noise if you keep the oscillation up all the way or mid way when you stomp it on. Which I'm not sure if it's building a charge in the switch? Or what, but I'm sure that's a super easy fix.

Also, you can turn the oscillation off all the way and get great fuzz tones.

OH! And the momentary switch is basically like a feedback switch, but it will hold onto that note or tone for as long as you have it held down. Alternatively you can hit it repeatedly for a kind of chopping fuzz. Or a mute switch if you'd like, when the oscillation is off. It gets pretty crazy. I ought to make a demo.
