Haha I think our beer is expensive.....

I'm thinking of buying a home brew kit and start making my own.

Silvertone 1445 mosrite copy (thing was a mess...fixed it a bit. Needs a little more work, but really playable now).

I hate burts. But that Silvertone could change my heart.
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

The finish is actually pretty nice. I am not a burst guy at all (I've always had yellow or black guitars...but I dunno, I was sick of my Jag). It is really light. I had to adjust the neck like crazy (the High E was 1/4" off the fret board at the body). I have it all centered up now, but I need to cut a new nut, finish scraping some glue, and tweak it a bit more. The bridge is terrible and the way that the tremolo/stop piece is cast, the high E sits 1/4" higher and prevents it from having low action. Really strange to me...the strings are set up like this when looking at the bottom/back of the stop piece:

Code: Select all

           O
   O O O O
O

It really needs some work, but its actually in ok shape. It's awesome though and it actually feels more natural for me (it is a ton more fun than the Jag).

DAT Kompakt Kassette! How long did it take from ordering to getting it? I'm waiting for my Mind Warp/dual lfo vibrato. Just trying to figure out if I'm in for a 6 week or 6 month wait.

I ordered it in mid January (like the 16th or something). So 4 months.

Ah, ok. Rhys sent me an email telling me there was another one of the dual LFO vibratos up for grabs after the initial batch sold out in like two hours. Hopefully it was either already built or something he plans on building very soon. I've promised myself not to email him this time. I have no patience, which is not very well combined with loving Seppuku pedals.

Convince Neonblack, Jwar or Goosekevin to get one.

Call dibs on the flip.

Be satisfied.

Haha, I was like marking my calendar so that I only e-mailed him once a month (on the 4th everytime///trying to keep in touch without being annoying) and then I got busy with a huge project and completely forgot about it and got another one (that's waiting to be shipped with other stuff in Japan). I got the shipping notice as soon as I forgot to e-mail him for 2 months. :idk: Maybe every e-mail adds a month?

I will say this though: they are a heck of a lot easier to find than the old Lastgasp stuff but there are way too many Seppuku variations out there (I always find new ones....I don't think anything was ever standardized...very Effector 13/Devi Ever, I went through this 10-something years ago...oh well, haha).

Haha, you are right. Another reason not to get hooked on his pedals. It will never stop...

I think the more appropriate question would be: "What am I not buying now?"

Hey hey hey now.

I do still love fuzz. My dirt is all away at the spa.

I just haven't found many lately that I'm like "I MUST HAVE."

Devi BDSM seems fun but I don't have 2 amps to get the full effect. Mantic Vitriol was on my list but there aren't enough demos, and the ones I've heard all make it sound pretty scooped. Those are really the only 2 that have excited me. Oh and the new Dunwich one knob pedals but they're not out yet.

I've been missing my Buzzz though. So I think I'm just gonna go for it. Again.
