Let us know how the echo sex is. I was looking at that but read about some issues and it seemed like the tube was not easily replacable if needed so I said the heck with it.

It is a tool that takes you on a magic carpet thru aetherial and tridimensional ambients and sparks your creativity giving you a way to create unheard of textures.

Agreed! But I figure since it is made in italy, it pretty much has to look as douchy as possible.

Only sat down with it for an hour or so, but I was impressed. Lots of good delay sounds to be found here, lots of flexibility as well. Good rhythmic repeats. The tape age thing goes pretty far out, modulation wise, so you can get weird if you want to. Especially if you are blasting it with a fuzz. I read about perhaps the repeats being audible when the pedal is on bypass. I did not find this to be the case, though I guess it was not in bypass much today! I think that criticism probably came from someone who was comparing it to their echo drive or something and turned their nose up. I probably bought this thing off one of those dudes. I have never played a higher fidelity delay, I know that much. As far as the tube thing, it is supposed to be good for 3000 hours. This is the equivalent of 125 days. I don't know how many hours I play in a year, but I figured that is a pretty damn long time! Plus, if it does go wonky I am sure that you can probably hit up the manufacturer if you can't dig up the right tube.

No issues with noise, or otherwise, with mine yet. Effects in the loop make things interesting.

awesome.. really want to try one now. I read a few of the first batch were fucked up, because someone who was helping the builder was installing a component wrong. hear it's been fixed since. everything I read about this makes me want one more n more -____-

The Superego is one the only pedals I've ever kept for like 2 years without selling and re-buying.

If you add something like an instant lo-fi junky in the loop, or even just place it after the Superego in the chain, then it is much more awesomer. I usually run a behringer vibrato in the loop and an Echo Park set 100% wet with a lot of modulation on the tape setting. If you have stuff that can make it nasty, you will definitely appreciate it. The signal can sound sterile, true, but there's a reason they gave us an effects loop. The Superego is amazing. Spend time with it. Play with the settings in regards to the speed and gliss knobs. Maybe I should post a demo describing how I approach the pedal.

Oh, and once you plug a synth into it (along with echo and all that other good shit) I hope you fall in love with it as fast as I did. The guitar can be radically transformed by the Superego, obviously, but synth is changed in such a fundamental and weird way, it can be amazing. I recorded a track for a possible independent movie soundtrack they other day using a piano sound through the Superego. It is completely unrecognizable. It sounds amazing and almost indescribable.

Good journey

Pretty cool little fuzz. Goes from a separated sounding fuzz with a distinct almost-clean bottom end and slightly buzzy high end to a full blown trebly hornet explosion.

Oh man, post a demo please if you can, I've been on the fence about this one.

Edit: fuzz before and/or after would be great, that's what I'm most wondering about how it sounds with dirt.
