spooky similar to my go-to setup. polytune mini -> count to five -> dl4 (used with the delay in looping mode with some modulation) -> fuck

i would much prefer the DMM for my delay, but similar idea!

yeah, if I was using my Ibanez delay I'd have the fuck at the end like you, but the DMM already has enough grit and character to stand on its own, so I'm running it at the start instead.

I keep building up big boards and coming back to set ups more like that. I'm thinking i may have to put my mini back together.

I can't do big boards at all - they just don't fit with my personality. For me it's big ideas created through limitations.

+1. I've tried more lengthy, complicated setups and they overwhelm my ADD with distractions, encouraging paralysis by analysis.
My most recent board (6 weeks and counting!) has a 24 x 12in footprint only because my fav effects happen to be housed in big boxes :snax:

Too big and stuff will just start sounding all the same to my ears. But too small and I will feel the need to add a certain sound. I usually gravitate around the 10 fx mark. 1 Delay, 1 Ring Mod, 1 Filter, 1 dirt, 1 Reverb, 1 weird , 1 hold in the least. From there I might add variants or duplicates. I keep trying to like modulation but until now I could not find anything that adds "circular" movement and made me want to stick with it. I also sometimes want to add more fuzz but it mostly gets drowned out in the band or inspires me to play shitty melodies. Both aren't exactly cool.

Hot damn!

I must be out of the loop, 'cause I don't know what those five pedals in the top right are. Can you elaborate?
