Whoa! That is a shitload of stacked buffers. There would have to be some tone colorisation from all of those. Cool looking board though.

That boss pedalboard wins cause HM-2.

Gonna get one of those with my first paycheck, they're pretty easy to find online surprisingly.

Most of the BOSS buffers are good. I made a few comparisons years ago. Here is it:

http://www.pepemusic.de/sounds/ba_bypass-test.WAV
0:00 min: BOSS LS-2 only
0:08 min: 5 BOSS pedals
0:16 min: 10 BOSS pedals
0:24 min: BOSS LS-2 only

There really is a volume drop and the tone is less brilliant if you use lots of buffered pedals. It starts to become quite noticeable if you use 10 BOSS pedals and have the opportunity to compare it with the original signal. The sound is a bit dull and you have to turn up the volume, but apart from that everything's okay. Some guys use old spiral cables to achieve a dull sound and I can tell you that a series of linked BOSS pedals doesn't sound as extreme.

I could live with it on stage. But for recording or playing at home I would always take only those pedals that I really need in that situation.

Yeah that was pretty much what I was getting at. I don't play live shows anymore. I only play at home and record these days and I notice the tone colorisation that stacking buffers will cause. I don't have many buffered pedals anymore but I have a couple of Cornish clone buffers on my board.
