Have to switch between EGC Standard and a noticeably-quieter baritone, using Arrows to keep EGC volume down (clicking it off for boost with a little more low end). Favorable results!

Im really liking that set up. How is that Fuzz War Overlord?

What's the Keely mod on the Blue Box?
I play guitar and modular synthesizer in Juggable Offense.

I really like it! The Bit side of my Bit Mangler has been my go-to huge fuzz sound for a long time, the Fuzz War is also huge but has more clarity, sounds 'good' in a more straightforward way, or at least in a way that fits my band's sound a little better. On baritone, especially through a 4x10, it reminds me of the Big Business distorted bass sound, which is always welcome. Don't use the treble boost much, though (Driving Notion covers all my brittle treble needs), thinking of downgrading to the regular Fuzz War if/when I can grab one for cheap...
KRUDLER on Bandcamp for all your noise rock & cinematic synth needs
TOTHENECK on Instagram for recording snippets, artwork, etc.

It's pure Octave fuzz filth :!!!: it has more treble energy than my shin-ei fy-6. has two tones, one scooped. Not as brutal as the fm-1.

Ah cool, thanks guys.
I was looking at it on my phone last night and I couldn't quite see it right. I had a hunch it was ancient Ibanez, but wasn't 100%.
Dang, I love superfuzzes. That sounds rad. I have to let my FZ-2 go this week to help pay for surgery. That's gonna hurt me in the fuzz appreciation organ.
I think when I get some cash back together, I'll look into decent clones of either the Standard or the Fm-1. If only I could afford the originals.

Trying something new!

Been using the plus ultra 213 and eleca delay for a couple weeks now, but the snake bite is fresh.

Fuzz bear!? How do you like it? I've almost impulse bought it a few times, making it less of an impulse and more irresponsible

I have a Creepy Fingers Harakirifuzz Standard Spec that is a great clone of the my standard fuzz. He also makes the harikirifuzz, which is a univox superfuzz clone and it sounds great too.

It's really great. I actually bought it impulsively myself, like the day after the demo was posted  Sits at a different level than my Frazz and 213, so they all meld quite nicely, without much overlap. It's loud as sin btw. Good responsiveness, lots of tweakability, and cuts through. Good on bass as well as guitar.

Side note: Someone complained about the lack of control labels...BE has stickers with the bears so you can add them if you'd like :thumb:

The Caline Reverb is a nice little ambiance machine. Needs a new paint job/etch though. I foresee the prices rising (they actually already have since my purchase). Subtle echo to days of verb. Oh, did I mention, trails? Better snag one :thumb:

Jero! I've always loved the online demos of the plus ultra 123, never really understood why the hell it's not a lot more popular. I think it's the first one I spotted in this whole thread. The two switches, the charger, the filter with expression out...What's not to like? :idk:

The Fuzz Bear is high on my GAS list atm, I'm seriously restraining myself from also impuls buying one to replace my mastotron.

I had an ultra 123 for a while, it's an awesome pedal, just less awesome than quite a few of my other fuzzes for how I play
filter was cool, but I kinda like my fuzz and filter separate,
it's a great pedal just got beat out by a blunderbuss

That's one interesting board. Totally impossible to get any idea of your style or taste in music, which sorta suggests you migh be into somewhat original unique shit that's just as 'out of the box' as the way you put that board together.

I may be giving you too much credit there based on just yer gear, it's just that with all the slightly showboaty hip boutique boards here (no offence to anyone) it's refreshing to see someone use a ps-6 next to a ps-5 on the same board as a plain old fuzz face and two big muffs from electro fucking harmonix :)

Seems like you're the right guy to ask a couple obvious 'vs' type of questions too. For instance, how similar is the Big Spider to the Fuzzmaster? I actually didn't know untill just now that DE makes a fuzz master type of clone, I'm gonna have to seriously look into that one before I order the EQD Fuzz Master General...

Absolutely a match made in hell.

I finally bought a rat and I couldn't agree more. What one lacks the other makes up for.

Haha! Yea, that pedal went unnoticed by me for too long. Think they came out in like 2011? Watched the demos finally when one popped up on here for a good price and was all  Plus I'm a sucker for big ol pcbs with NOS parts on them.
ps. The car is actually a Mustang! believe it or not. '78 King Cobra I think. Such an oddball.

Can't believe I still haven't played a Blunderbuss/Musket yet. When I first got the 213, I thought, you know I could be just as happy (or moreso) with a sweepable filter and my other fuzzes...now I'm really into the character of the fuzz, even with the filter off. It just works well with my setup/what I'm playing right now :yay: That said, do you have any recs for a standalone filter unit?

Thanks! You really do. There are some of the tastiest sounds in there. I love to stack it with other dirt and mix the two a bit with the clean blend :thumb:
