I'm gassing for Eivind's Thujone demo. Which doesn't exist yet. But it will.

Sick dude. I don't see why the Thunder Box doesn't get more love around here, the thing's practically instant heaviness.

Hit the nail on the head with that description. It came in yesterday and it sounds freakin' awesome. When I turn it off my 46 or other fuzzes they sound weak and lo-fi.

Haha that's awesome.
How does it sound?

It's neat! Haha. Not much headroom, but a reasonable clean sound can be had. The battery door rattles some, but gain covers that well. Tried running the headphone out to my 2x8, but it couldn't do much. There's a resistor before that output to limit signal; a simple jumper would take care of that. The od side with volume cranked is of course where the business is  and I actually do enjoy the sounds overall. It's actual power amp distortion too technically. No hard clipping diodes or anything. Used it as a pre into the Pathfinder with good results, in both normal and od modes. Awesome, verge of breaking, chunky overdrive with the pathfinder gain @ 1/4 turn (boost off) and the MS-2 volume about half way. This thing is ripe for modding too; a basic transistor boost/gain stage at the input, that is bypassed in normal mode, followed by a simple filter and the amp ic.

OK so

While I was in Scotland I had an offer accepted on a house. That I only saw saturday, which was only a day or so after I agreed to buy an Echoczar.

Now I just got home and have the Czar in hand. Do I dare play it and risk falling in love, or keep it in the box and insta-flip for much needed house related funds.

Such dilemma.

You should at least play it.
Otherwise you'll always be wondering "what if..."
A chance to play one of those suckers is unlikely to come around again sometime soon.

I got my pedals back that I left with a friend in Kansas. Quick thoughts:

Boss RV-2... Probably blasphemy, but I like it more than the RV-3. I have them both and am selling them both, but I think the RV-2 suits me better. The RM-1N renders both of them moot, at this point.

musicPCBs Tap Tempo Tremolo... I am in love. I am a tremolo guy and this is now my favorite. It just does something to me. It gets deep and sawtoothed and just FUUUCK. I'm going to have to make a new enclosure, though.

Mellowtone Melxowtone... I may never turn it off. Perfect distortion for playing cowboy chords. Sounds AMAZING into the Russian Muff. May have to clone it so I can have one on each end of my chain.

EHX Small Stone... I never bond with phasers. They just don't work for me.
My force of habit, I am an insect
I have to confess I'm proud as hell of that fact

Meh.
If you're talking house money, and you're buying, money is cheap because of our crap economy, which will likely be crap for a while. So borrowing isn't too economically painful. If it's rental then just sell your car or something else unimportant. On the other hand, how often are you going to get a hold of an Echoczar...

So, I got the Thujone in today. And I'm in love. I mean, just look at her.

Actually, my pic doesn't do the finish justice at all. Such a great look. And the sounds it creates are awesome.

Lost it at "Use the force, Harry", and almost shit my pants at the end. :omg:

Crazy pedal is crazy. That graphic is so insanely cool too.

edit: question: does it skip in oscillation following the exact samme pattern. It all sounded like "didli du, du, dududu dururu, didli du, du, dududu dururu, didli du, du, dududu dururu" over and over in different pitches. Maybe I'm tired and just hearing the same pattern.

Also; DÆT FØKKING RAPITO!!! :animal: :animal: :animal:
