As much as it probably doesn't feel like it means anything right now: You tried, and that's something that a lot of people never do. Wish there was more we could do to help, bro!

Pretty much this. I forgot how annoying troubleshooting a new interface can be.

I tried to stop taking my antacid on Saturday and could barely fall asleep because there was so much acid in my stomach. I took it yesterday, and because I hadn't taken it on Saturday, it barely worked. I tried not taking it today and I've got such bad acid reflux that I can barely take it. Which makes me think that I DO have the bacteria still, and that I might have a stomach ulcer.

If you want an good old fashioned Croatian cure that works for ulcers, try this. Every day for a month, extract the juice from a raw potato and drink it. It tastes bad. Real bad, unless you like the taste of raw potato. It does work though. I had a bad ulcer about 15 years ago from stressing too much and drinking too much moonshine and other bad homemade alcohol. One of my friends mom told me about it.

I hate the postal service.

I have been sat in all day waiting because my dad's birthday present is due to arrive today.

At about 20 to 12 I went to the kitchen, and saw there was a "sorry we missed you" note by the front door. I have purposefully spent all day with my bedroom door open, all the windows open, and not listening to ANY music just so I could hear when the post arrives.

Did he knock? DID HE FUCK.

And if it wasn't my dad's present, then that means it may have been my ILF stealth tee, which is just as irritating :grumpy:

I have seen through my window delivery people get out of their truck stick the we missed you sign on the door and leave without ever having knocked, rung the bell, or brought the package out.

If I am expecting something that needs a signature, I leave a note on the door that says "I am home. Please ring bell or knock loudly.".

Yeah I've seen that before to other people. Absolutely horrendous. At my old job one of the complaints I had to deal with was a third party courier who delivered a DVD player/recorder by dropping it over the customer's back garden fence. 6 foot drop. No note left to indicate. It sat out there in their garden for three days in the pouring rain. I was not very polite to the person I spoke to at the courier's end.

Good idea. I think they might have assumed no-one was home because the dogs were out for the day, and usually they go nuts when the post arrives. Must have assumed no barking = no-one home.

Still infuriating though. I'll go to the post office tomorrow and collect whatever it is.

My mailman always ends up giving stuff to the wrong house. There's a neighbor 3 houses down that has the same house number but on a different street, and my street branches off that one, and I watched him give my MASF Raptio to the neighbor the other day. I came running out of the house screaming at him and chewed his ass out because its like the fifth time its happened, and its always important shit.

We got sick and tired of miscellaneous properties through our area (it's a spread out village) getting our post and trying to track things and get them back.

So we just painted our house name on one of the walls along the drive. Nothing too massive, but big enough and clear enough so that they have no excuse for missing it and instead delivering our post to the local school or church or something else stupid which clearly isn't a residential property.

I can't stand the post office delivering to residental addresses. I've had a PO box now for close to 7 years. Makes everything so much easier, and I don't have to worry about large packages getting stolen. Luckily our post office is pretty close to our apartment now, and on the way home from work when we move so I'll still be able to check it regularly

That's a really good idea. I'd love to set one up, but I think the nearest I could would be over 10 miles away

Maybe if I was to get a job in the same area, I could do that. Sadly, not for now!

Yeah they did that to me recently also...left a notice that they missed me but never came up to my house. Another thing they recently did was instead of driving up my driveway to deliver my package that wouldn't fit in my mailbox was simply place it on top of my mailbox. It was a $200 item and I live on a pretty major 4 lane road. So I wasn't too happy with a box that says Amazon on it sitting there in plain site. When I called to complain they said the regular guy was off and it was a substitute as if that somehow makes it ok to be stupid.

Im definitely going to invest in a p.o. box. I get enough gear and stuff shipped to me that it would be worth it.

If there's a ups near you, I'm pretty sure they offer a service that's similar to p.o. boxes.
