wanted a patchable synth with a sequencer AND an arpeggiator but no cash so threw this together using stuff i already have. good times!
its on a pt2 powered with dual pedalpower2s. theres a plank under the pt2 which i pull out to hold an alesis q25 midi keyboard if i want to play keys haha

As much as I love modulars, I have to ask, can you shred on a monosynth? Will you miss proper keys? Keys have always been a means to an ends for me and not my forte. I enjoy sequencing but like some sort of touch control too because it helps my modular feel more like an instrument to me, so the Shared System has both covered.
Ultimately going with a modular has been a rewarding experience. It is a great fun, it is an explorative experience and it has opened my mind up to new things.
The Voyager is a great synth but it can be expensive to maintain. If something happens to a module you can repair the module and still use all of your other modules in the meantime. Way less hassle than shipping that huge and heavy synth to Asheville, NC.

its great! it does SO much. i have a eurorack modular, a minitaur, but i play this little box waaay more. i dare say its my "go to" synth. mainly this and a beatstep. it sounds great, fantastic filter, throw some verb on it and it does really nice beats, small enough to chuck into a backpack with some pedals and patchable but has just enough options not to overwhelm!

I never read the manual on the Monotribe and it took me a good two years of just screwing around with it to realize that if you held down the drum buttons there were in between beats so you could get those break beat sounds....they don't get saved though when you turn it off.

The leg falling asleep thing has happened to me more times than I could ever possibly recall.

Monotribe OS V1 had a 16 step sequencer for the drums, as you describe, and 8 for the synth. OS V2 gives the synth part those same 16 steps, among other things! If you don't have it, get it! You can save all 16 steps, by holding down the REC button, to be recalled upon powering up. However, you may need to go into your global settings to set that up.
