I had a RB 120 briefly and it wasn't my cup of tea but I know people really like them.

I like the Sound City, but its just loud and bright. Thats it. No character or nice growl or percussive attack or anything.
Nice for playing with fuzz or distortion boxes, overdrive pedals (ts,sd1) kind of looses their purpose when you got endless headroom.

A friend of mine uses a Rat into a Sound City fullstack. Maybe he's just not good at EQing, but his tone is ear-piercing treble city. Sounds ok with the bassists Meatsmoke though :!!!:

Hey, another Trace Elliot amp! I have never seen a Tube Trace though, how is it?

The TE twin valve was built in the 90s. 120W, equalizer, pre-amp.
I am using the TE with guitars, basses and synths. It`s a wonderful sounding Amp!

I think it's for erections

Ugh looking at pages and pages of amps to figure out what amp I should get. I'm in a psychedelic hip hop thing, and I know I should get something relatively small, but fuckkkkk looking at such doomy amps reminds me of my or120 days. Maybe I could find something that I could use for both type of set ups, I still have my sunn 4x12. I literally run a Vox pathfinder into a mixer currently. Sounds great but I want to have an amp running on git speakers.

I'm thinking somethin solid state possibly a JC120 or maybe a head like an acoustic or sunn thing.

That's how I've been feeling after every tube amp I've had kills tubes faster than I can afford changing them. I only use delay, a fuzz face, and a rat so as long as it works with that, I'm cool with it.

pathfinders are silly good for what they are, JC are great, maybe look into Lab Series amps? Also look into a Pearce G1 (or g2 even) really cool solid state rack head but my guitar teacher ran it as a head + Cab, ridiculously good solid state amp...

Well I do have a rack mount where my mixer and the pa power amp go where I could place it. I wonder how they sound though, honestly I kinda wish I could find someone that could gut my pathfinder preamp into a rack/tiny head/pedal format or something that I could just easily have around. there are so many interesting solid states that I wish I could try out because many say that each one takes dirt pedals differently in a way that can end up pretty badly.

You could also probably get by with like a Twin or something?
