also just scored a DOD Juice Box for real cheap. score.
They do unfortunately suck tone unless you get on e with a buffer installed, which then negates the passive requirement. In reality any passive volume pedal will have tone suck its the nature of the beast with a passive circuit. It's less noticeable if you can match the pedals volume pot rating to that of your guitars. So an take an Ernie ball for example its got a 250k volume pot so strats and other single coil pickups won't so much of a difference, but bring in a humbucker equipped guitar with 500k volume pots and your gonna see reduced high end content (aka tone suck) as its just like installing a volume pot in your guitar of the same value. That being said I do believe that a couple of the boss offerings (I think FV-500 or something like that) come with 500k volume pots which would give you the least amount of tone suck on the least amount of guitars.

Just bought six Founders All Day IPAs and a new bottle of Scotch, a 10-year Talisker. Cost €70 altogether. I've not experienced many heavily-peated, smoky Scotches, so this will be a first. Plus, I've never spent more than €30 on alcohol in one go before.
We're playing the Great American Beer Fest kickoff show with EHG, Valient Thorr, and Primitive Man -- FFF is co-sponsoring it, and I am PUMPED to finally get to try some of their beers. Met the owner when he was in town a while back, and he's a really cool dude.
