I am confused because I always use old/used/quirky things but excited because now I can actually push my computer and amp hard without fearing their push back. Also I asked my boss for a 25% raise and he agreed so f it, treat yoself.

Now I need some sort of preamp that'll help out when running bass or guitar through a PA speaker... suggestions?

A lot of folks around here rave about the rusty box. I've never tried it so I can't give you any opinions about it. Maybe someone will chime in if you ask about it in the gear thread.

:mope:

(i don't like that bass tone)

i'm looking for something because i'm tired of using my big ol' needy tube amp (60+ lb head, big bulky cab) and just bought an active PA speaker (1000W, 15" driver, 33lbs :thumb: ). just looking for something to make it a bit more ampy if you know what i mean. also i intend to play guitar through it too. is this the dumbest idea ever?

thinking of sansamp gt2...

also because i'm a damn fool there's a sunn amp on craigslist i want so i don't even know what i want i just want it all this is the thread of and for GAS!

You don't have to make it sound like Weston. It is a versatile box, it just happens to do that thing so well that everyone thinks of that.

You can actually dial out the clank and have a nice warm punchy tone. With low and hi gain modes and the gain control, it has a ton of range.

What's the go with that pot?

It's an on/off switch on the pot. Really handy on a battery-only pedal (as long as you remember to use it…)
