Dude's voice is rad.
Anyone here know Funeral Moth? I got a flyer thingy for it with a CD (maybe the Aquilonian?) a little while ago, and the teaser bit on youtube is pretty rad. Really minimal.

I'm a fan of everything Lanegan has done, but what is this "real scene" you speak of?

90's alt that didn't sound like Pearl Temple Pilots in Chains?

I think it gives a little bit of variety. I think Lanegan's vocals kind of give it a retro kind of 70's occult vibe, but that's just me. I'm curious, does the whole album have vocals or just that track?
Two instrumental tracks (three if you get the vinyl), two with Lanegan, and the previously-leaked track with Rabia Shabeen Qazi on vocals (which I quite like).
Ahhhh, okay. I guess I've only heard the Rabia Shabeen Qazi track, so apply my previous remarks to that track haha

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I'm after some opinions...I like the Marshall JCM 900 I have...its the early ones and sounds pretty good...best I've had actually.
Now I see a 1970's Superbass up for sale...I could sell my 900 and a few pedals that are not on my board and afford it.
Is the superbass that much better? I've never played one before. Considering this or the 900 will be a keeper that I would ship back to Oz with me next year.
so...thoughts??

It's probably not worth it if you really like the 900, although the Superbass will presumably hold more value.

Thanks DOS, thats my thoughts too.
Its the "special" factor of the Superbass thats got me thinking not really the tone factor.

I would get a Superbass over a 900 everyday of every year of my life but thats because its a more useful pedal platform

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I've owned a lot of Marshall amps and the 900 I had was the only one I flat out hated. Then again, I've heard a lot of people saying some are better than others and that they make them sound good, so who knows. I'm with Nick, in that I like pedal platform type amps.
Any suggestions on what I should get for my next dirt cheap POS pedal? Preferably something widely reviled and considered to sound terrible lol.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I feel like most Marshally voiced amps do pretty well as platform amps, provided they aren't 4 channel monstrosities. Then again, I've been pleased by my Line 6 Spider 3 tones while my dual Laney rig is off at the jam space, so my opinion may not be entirely valid today.

Seriously though..
Whatever's cheap I guess. I'd probably walk into a shady pawnshop and just buy whatever looks cheap and sketchy, but... in a good way?
I think I asked this earlier pertaining to Rats, anyone care to comment on how they take boosts in front? I hear they get finicky with high input signals. I might be picking one up soon.

i have to admit my 900 isn't too bad, it is a single channel 900...its the ones before the SLX ones came out.
On the Superbass...i just read the ad again and it has been modded with a PPI Master Volume...you think that makes it worse than stock? I guess if i turn MV all the way, then it bypasses the mod altogether?

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... the Digitech Death Metal is really really really really really shit.
what i meant to say was:
downsizing? FUuUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUU!!!
I'm playing through combo amps........ combo amps
it's like i don't know who i am anymore
you know what i'm gonna say to that, don't you?
a good Marshall is a thing to be marveled at. my JMP was my best purchase ever.
mine has a master volume. doesn't bother me. it actually allows you to inplay with the pre-amp a little bit more in a way, which is cool.
