Call me crazy, but my GAS for an EGC disappeared once I actually played one. they are good... I just didn't think it was THAT much better than a regular guitar.

I love my EGC. After owning an Obstructures and getting the itch for aluminum, I couldn't stop until I actually had an EGC. I won't say that it plays drastically different from my wooden guitars, but it does sound quite a bit different. More resonant / more harmonics plus I worry less about breaking it which is always a plus

I wish they made a short scale bass neck. I would let myself get into credit card debt for that.

They probably would, if you wanted them to. Dunno what their necks are running now since they had changed their prices around recently

An AxAxSxS 12 sting EGC would be nuts awesome

I think "Nuts" is the key word there. I emailed them about making one once. Basically identical to the sg only in aluminum. Never heard back from them. I think they thought I was a crazy person.

I mean, after the DS they just made that was a 12 string, they've proved that it is possible, the only 'hard' thing would be the modified Bigsby, but I'm sure if you made it and sent it down they'd have no problem

EGC would be amazing...my band mate has 2 EGC's...an SG and a start looking one...they don't sound all that different but feel really nice.

The only other thing on my GAS list is a Matamp single channel 120w head...i'm saving...and i've set a deadline...March 2015 I'm getting the train up to Matamp factory.

Doom trade of the century is going on tonight. Driving up to Sonny's and trading 2 15's and a 12" speaker for two strollers and a highchair. STOKED.

Milestone: the Doom Room page count has begun overtaking the birth years of its contributors.

I'll be 43 in a few weeks but still doomin

My favorite bedroom amp is the Traynor Dark Horse.
Image

I picked one up from Hello Music a while back when they had a sale and I had a coupon code. Paid around
$325 shipped to me. It can go down to 2 watts and my BAT Pharaoh still sounds thick at TV volume levels.
Actually, all my drive pedals sound good in the 2 watt mode.
I play late almost every night in the basement under my 7yr old daughters room and she has yet to complain.

Plus it can go up to 15 watts. I bring this along as a backup to all my gigs. It powers a 4x12 nicely.
And made in Canada.

Just another option for y'all.

Thats...

That's not a bad idea. I'll have to try that.

It does wonders really, cause that little thing ain't the best sounding but decent enough but when you use the earplugs with it, then it sounds more like an actual guitar rig I can write something on nothing too techy or super fast with lots of changes, but I've written quite a bit of osdm and power violence on it.

I remember the first time I went to his house, just being so taken aback by his old lady just calm as could be, sittin on the couch playing video games while we were in the next room with everything in the room dimed at once. Just not even batting an eye at whiskey goin amp bananas.
