Just let me know dates and locations. We'll make some magic happen. :) I also know several cool venue owners in East Tennessee, so I could probably help with that. HOLLA!

why?

why the fuck not? these little fuckers rule. dare I say its kinda nice to be able to Pete Townshend an amp then slam it with fuzz while the wife watches tv in the next room with out subtitles on.

plus our new rescue dog doesn't like loud noises. . . the first time I played guitar with her home I took it waaaay easy on the volume and if a dog could literally cry tears, thats what she would've been doing at the back door. . . poor thing.

SOoOoOo scored a 1481 on craigslist for fuckin cheap and now to look for a studio space for my big amps. maybe its time to get back in a band

besides who wouldn't bend over backwards for this face.

Last time I saw Wino he was running the head + cab version of these with his normal model T setup. The tone was killer. If it weren't for the Jack White connection jacking up the price, I'd snag one in a heartbeat.

Solid whiskey I'd do the same for mine if I kept my stuff at home as well.

little pawn hunting yesterday. didn't come up with anything in hand though I was surprised to see an Ampeg V4 at one of them. But yea not paying 900 for a busted up one with a dry rotted cord, not original head case and mix matched tubes. Overtly helpful pawn dude asked if I was interested and said he could do a good deal on it and I said I'd throw him 200 bucks. he about choked.

Other than that.. saw a Reeves 212.. but loaded with some radio shack speakers. and the only thing that I sorta was digging on was a lawsuit LP made by Lincoln but they still wanted more than I was willing to pay esp since it was there from the last time I had been in that pawn shop (march of last year when I got an Ampeg SS140c and Krank 412 for 350)

so I haven't been on for ages...I think its almost 50 pages ago since my last post!

good to see everything is as it was...

Pope...Lovin the Robert Downey Jnr GIFs
Darren...thats a rad story with the landlord, such a cool guy to be looking out for the tenants. I can't wait to see the new amp!
Skully...congrats on the baby. My wife is in her 3rd trimester too. We are expecting a boy in late November.
Trey...I've been reading your book man. I love some of the concepts and can agree with a lot of them. I actually had a guy working for me, who was in in mid 20's and he fits so many of the concepts you have in your book.
Whisk...that Silvertone and those dogs are cool shit man.

On my side...its now 5 weeks of unemployment...done a couple of holidays with the family...written a script for short film and written a third of the feature film script...but now, I'm kinda ready to go back to work. Hoping i get something in the next few weeks.

Also...I got tickets to YOB and Pallbearer playing in London in couple of weeks time!

So we recorded a 12 minute psych doom thing and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out :yay: Pretty different from the other tracks I posted previously. Took us forever to get it all in one take so there are some rough bits but it's a (mostly) live demo so yah know...

Lucky! Yob and Pallbearer's new releases are my favourite so far this year. That and Wo Fat's new record. And The Clarity.

So stoked you love that 1481, whiskey. I sure regret having to get rid of the one I had. Those fuckers sound soo good.

Open note... total win, could've ended it right then and I would've been thrilled. really digging it. vocals sound great.

I'll have to say where it speeds up around 9min and then again at 10:30.. that riff just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the song at all. if it wasn't in there at all I feel it would be much stronger, but maybe with hearing the drums it smooths out better.

Yeah, the fast part is the part I wasn't so sure about. We usually play it a lot slower and it fits better. But might also work a build up in there to make the transition less jarring.
