I've been after one for years but was always put off by the price. I briefly had the civilian issue version which was a fun distortion box, but this is really the one. As people say, it would be hard to remember different settings to use on different songs in a gig, but it is very easy to dial in something awesome. You could do that with your eyes closed, and for creating a wide range of weird textures, dynamic drives and squelches full of interesting artifacts it's peerless as far as I can tell. The left switch flips between the compressor and the fuzz factory, the right switch bypasses both and the top switch is a tuner out and mute. I think of it as explosion=fuzz
