Some small changes again on my PT Jr. I've been experimenting on what's going to settle in the second spot in the chain.

I've always loved my Skinpimp Buzzaround, but never liked dealing with batteries.

I was able to set it up so it's powered from the Cioks power supply via a battery adapter, and it's working and sounding really, really darn good. Now that I can set and forget it power-wise, I'll be keeping the Buzzaround on there for sure from now on!

Wow the BitQuest look awesome with those knobs. How do you like it?
I know you had a Subdecay Proteus... I'm kind of tired of mine... would you think the Empress Phaser would be a good replacement?
Nice board!!

You just need to find a pedal called "2015".

Thanks!

Yeah, I think someone came up with the rainbow idea when the preorder was going on and requested it from Ryan. Ryan then posted a pic and I loved it, so requested the same! I feel like they're a nice metaphor for the mind-bending 'rainbow' of options the pedal offers.

I still have and love the Prometheus DLX. Definitely never selling it! I just wasn't utilizing it that much right now, and I wanted another fuzz/high gain option, which the Buzzaround has been nailing for me.

I think the Empress could be a ok replacement for the Prometheus. It doesn't really nail that filter sound that we all crave, but cops it in its own way by enveloping the phase tone. It doesn't do all the cool tap and rhythmic stuff that the DLX does though. So if you're writing, you might come up with ideas on the DLX that you'll never do with the Empress. I keep the Empress on there because I'm a phaser nut, and the Empress is the best phaser I've ever used.

5KVNQW0RK5 wrote:great board! How do you like the vision wah and are you using it for cocked or slow sweepy stuff at all? How's it coexist with your fuzz's?

Thanks again!

I LOVE the Vision Wah. I feel like a dink having such a comically expensive wah. I got it used for a great price on the Canadian Guitar forum, and was just lucky to see it right when it was listed. The price was too good to pass up, so I grabbed it. Figured I could just pass it along for the same price if it didn't jive. Well, I never expected I'd like it as much as I do; it's just killer! I don't usually do the cocked wah tone, but it does work great for that. I prefer the standard quack quack for both rhythm and lead. The sweep is really sensitive, steady, and even, which I really dig about it. Also, unlike every previous wah I've owned, it sings through every dirt pedal really clearly. So in terms of that, it works great with my fuzzes!

I have a buffer early in the chain, mounted under the board, so my fuzzes are all after buffer no matter what. I sometimes drop a pedal in front of the board instead of the wah if I really need it. So, the wah's buffer doesn't have any affect on my sound as I'm already buffered without the wah.

Hope that helps!
