you will certainly look cool with them. it's been a long time since i heard one of their 4x12's and i don't know that there's anything that special about them. they made some really cool bass cab designs, but that just seems like a regular 4x12 to me. they're probably well made and certainly worth $180 if they work, but i don't know if it's so special as to be worth that plus a 3 hour drive unless you're just an acoustic enthusiast, in which case it probably is for the opportunity to have a full stack.

i just noticed that it looks like the dust cap is missing on the upper right speaker in the lower cab. potential sign of problems there. and the fact that they have different speakers in the two cabs indicates at least one is non-original. not necessarily a big deal and perhaps they're replaced with better speakers, but i'd want to find out that info before driving three hours.

I won't lie, those Acoustics look cool, but the dust cap and the miscellaneous speakers, and the fact that any could blow at any time due to age, would make me hold out for something else, at least if I already had a bunch of speakers like you do. If I had no cabs and was about to go on tour or something, I'd offer $300 for the pair and I'd test the shit out of them first.

That's the best feeling in the world. Especially before the wifey went to a biweekly budget instead of a monthly budget. It was like fucking Christmas two extra times a year :!!!:

So supposedly the double neck 12/bass has shipped. I hate getting stuff from overseas as I cant monitor each and every step of the process. I guess technology has completely rhuined my ability to be patient.
In other news I may have found a side project. A couple of dudes that have been to a bunch of our shows as well as AW got in touch with me about getting a band going. I guess the band they had lost the drummer and then guitarist and they are looking to go in a more stoney direction. It'll mean a bit of a drive for me, BUT I CAN BUILD ANOTHER RIG FOR BAND NUMBER 2! :yay:

I'm so stupid.

more musics = good though.

the verellen 2203 might go back and forth. the folded horn stuff might need to live in two places.

That's my one problem nowadays about doing bands with people... I'm to the point I'm not hauling my stuff to jam with anymore. Either come to me or we just won't go any further. I stopped doing that when I was doing my sludge band Raum where we would go over to new orleans on sun to practice twice or 3 times a month and maybe once over here. I just don't like the drive, unload, setup, break down, drive back to shed, and then drive home.

Oh forgot I did try jamming with a death metal band that had a planned full length that mainly just wanted to record. I did it for a month over to new orleans and then I finally just didn't care to do it cause they based all their songs off how the guitarist drummed which he didn't if you catch my drift. so instead of me playing how I would play a song I had to play like I had been huffing gas for an hour and was crippled. Got sick of that and said if they really want me to record for them just send me some scratch tracks I don't have the time to just throw away like this... nevertheless the money for the gas to drive over.

These situations are why I could never build a doom level rig. I want to not stress moving my rig to that kind of level where moving it to and from practice isn't an ordeal.
