Somebody in Los Angeles start a band with me. I'm dying without playing music with people since I've been out here.

Skip/Shaun/anybody who wants to buy bells beer.
Oberon is supposed to be better this year. I hardly drink it these days because so much is available but it's a very good middle of the road I don't drink craft brews craft beer. Not people love it. Hit it with some orange. Slice them up fresh, sip a little bit down of the glass and drop the fucker in.
Two Hearted is what got me started on IPA style beers. Shit is my jam.

DUDE, I tried Two Hearted a week ago and fell in love. I'm not big on non-stouts, but that beer is so fucking goooooooood.
And yeah, Oberon with orange is definitely the way to go.

Sounds like a cross between early Mouth of the Architect, later Isis, and Gojira. Fucking weird but I love it. the first half is a drum jam between the drummer and I while the rest of the band lays down this sad creepy ambience and a sample of a little Bill Nye commentary. Sucks that I won't be able to play with them for at least 3 weeks. Pretty bummed about that but once I am able to play again we're gonna try to hit a studio and record.
Dude this sounds amazing

I've been lacking in new doom. Anything good come out that I may have missed. I've got the new Thou and waiting on Serpentine Path. Anything nasty or trippy or drone-tastic would be appreciated.

I'm really enjoying the new Conan album, super heavy. For trippy stuff I can't recommend the band Maeth enough. Just recently discovered them, too cool

Reviews seemed less than favorable but I listened to II: Void Worship by Pilgrim today and really enjoyed it.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
So I got my eqd sound shank today, man does it kick ass. The past week and a half them been awesome, I went from one eqd fuzz to four lol. I've been experimenting with different stacking combinations, and I haven't tried them all yet, but so far the sound shank into the Terminal is my favorite. So heavy And searing
I know I promised some clips last week, but presently my mac book is a large paper weight, and I thought the other computer I had available had firewire, but I was mistaken :/ however, i will make a video tomorrow. Crappie than a miced reckrding, but at least it will be something.
Here is a pic if all the pedals. I still gotta wire everything up proper. I guess i need a second power supply now

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Here's a question for you boyos:
I'm looking for a quad of speakers for my bassman cab. I'm pairing it with a 100w AOR, but I want slightly less efficient speakers than the swamp thangs and governors paired with the 50 watt because of the (minor) volume difference.
So I need 99/100db efficiency speakers which kill at doom, that aren't going to bust my bank. Ideas doombros?

That's one snazzy board. I really need to try a Sound Shank before they are gone again.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Man, I just ended up on a fucking downward spiral of things that suck. I started out looking up the new Pilgrim on youtube and wasn't digging it so I clicked on a Ghost set in the suggestions. That sucked more and somehow I ended up watching live sets of Mushroomhead and Coal Chamber from last year.

Now I will go redeem myself by spinning the Kylesa / Cream Abdul Babar split and the first Kylesa full length that I scored yesterday for dirt fucking cheap.

I'm just shocked that Mushroomhead and Coal Chamber still exist...
