Usually either Marlboro reds or Newports, depending if I'm in a menthol mood or not

Got a couple decent breweries just down the street here but nothing truly standout.
I keep meaning to try Dark Horse stuff when I see it in Ohio. What else is nice from them?
celticelk wrote:Speaking of beer, had a Dark Horse Fore Smoked Stout with dinner. Very tasty - much less bitter in the finish than other stouts I've had, with nice caramel overtones. Excellent with an ancho chili burrito.
No smoking here. Coffee is my mood-altering drug of choice.

I'm not sure - on the rare occasions when I drink beer, it's usually Guinness, or a porter or stout from Bell's. I saw this one in a local market and was intrigued by the description. Maybe one of the other MI doomers has a suggestion?

Mmmmm Bell's. Since Founders and New Holland came down to TN in the last couple weeks Bell's can't be too far behind... The Founders porter is the shit. RIght up there with Edmund Fitzgerald.

Surprised the Bell's stuff hasn't made it's way down there yet. I mean, I'm sure you can get Oberon but I couldn't care less about that swill.
Bell's Best Brown is pretty tasty. I really like Bell's Oarsman. It's a little tart/sour. It's one of my favorite Bell's beer right now. Though, truly and honestly, Bell's Two Hearted is up there as one of my favorite beers. Had that served at our wedding. It did not last very long.
Can't go wrong with Founder's Beers on most days. The All Day IPA is a good kick-back and drink all day because I can style of beer. My favorite normal brew from Founder's Brewing is Dirty Bastard. It's classified as a Scotch Ale, I think, which normally I wouldn't be stoked on trying but this fucker kills. It's also great for beer brats. I love getting some nice brats, cooking them in Dirty Bastard and then transferring them to the grill to get a nice crisp/carmelization going on. It's some seriously next level shit.
Summit, my bad on the white shirt. Should've sent you the maroon version. Next time. I'll provide the shirts so that you can continue to buy the gear.

All this beer / mead talk is going right over my head. Every time I've drank a beer it always tastes like imagine the monks who invented beer's gooch would smell like. Mouldy bread mixed with bitter butt sweat.

Nah, can't even get Oberon, as much as they're overproducing. Oarsman (if Bell's comes soon) and All Day IPA are going to be the shit for sessioning this summer. I also fucking love Centennial IPA and Red's Rye. Had my first KBS last night and I was extremely impressed. Normally I don't really like barrel-aged stuff cuz it's extremely hard to drink (3 oz of Bourbon County Stout was too much) but that KBS was gooood.

I can't stomach most beers - lagers and ales and really anything lighter than a porter are all dead to me. My sweet tooth prefers ciders, or meads, or things non-alcoholic.
