We had a decent one tonight ourselves. Managed to raise a bit of fundage for the Oso slide victims. Was a bit of an adventure in antique van ownership though. Had worked on it earlier as the brakes were sticking. so I bled them and replace fluid, also tuned up the engine, cleaned a gapped the plugs. Engine was way better. brakes were not. stopped and redid that, then the left front tire decided to do this crazy shimmying thing. so I was laying in a puddle on the side of the highway in monsoon conditions jacking up the van, taking the tire off etc. there was a moment there when making it to the show was looking pretty iffy. Glad we did though. Skies Below kicks some ass. The opening band was rad too, except they all left after their set which is not so cool. probably half the people stuck around till the end of the night for us and I thought we did pretty good. I had another epic pedal board moment, but it was not catastrophic this time I think I going to make a plexi lid for the thing so settings cant get fucked with in transit. Lots of awesome people there and could tell that our stuff was being enjoyed.
Now is time for more liquor and then Sleep.
I haven't kept up with the news but I hope they found everyone that was missing in that mudslide. That's cool that the money made from the show is going to help them out.
I had a few show mishaps as well. While setting up my amp sounded great and then all of a sudden went into this high pitched squeal and him. Thought my tubes were shot. Borrowed a matchless and as soon as I took it off standby it did the same thing. Ended up being the cable from the board to the amp was shorting out. Ran a new cable and hooked the Matamp back up and was good to go. Then the guys wanted me to play this instrumental piece I wrote a while back. I forgot to adjust the loop level before hand so it disappeared when I started playing the lead over it. Other than that we sounded great. Some lady came up to us afterwards with a business card saying she wanted to interview us. Not exactly sure who she is writing for but I emailed her and set up a phone interview for tomorrow.

You and I need to start up my company "Knob-Loks" or "Settings-Keepers" or something that sells bags of the right rubber washers and o-rings that you stick between the knob and the face of the pedal. So the knob can still be turned, but it takes a bunch of effort and isn't going to happen by accident.
Or another reason to put all pedals on drawers in a road case and switch them on and off with midi. I only have a couple pedals that couldn't be in a loop switcher.

asof yesterday, 90 are still un acounted for. They are starting to say they won't find them all.
Yeah looping levels was what exposed the problem last night. I am going to get some plexi from home derpo and make a hinged cover. Cool on the interview, hope you share it here when it happens.

This is a great idea, maybe make the washers with ridges on them so they catch well, but can flex a bit?

we make mead all the time at my house. we always have a batch going. currently we have habenero mead in the carboy. we change carboys usually after two or three weeks, then again a month or two later, and sometimes a third time, just to help clarify it. and you usually don't want your berries or whatever you're infusing it with to sit in there for too long. it usually stays in carboys for around 6 or 7 months before we bottle it. usually at that point it's good to drink, but if you let it sit another six months or so it gets a lot better. even with it taking so long, we end up making it faster than we drink it. it's so fun and super easy to do, you just need time. we have such a huge stockpile at this point i don't think we'll run out for a long time. we usually make three to four 5 or 10 gallon batches per year.

All that a post-prefix means is that a band is using traditional instruments and tones/sounds but utilize unique/different arrangements and structures. In this regard, once you boil it all down, we're fucking dorks

guys, any recommendations on getting head shell/cabs done up? heavy ass vtm cabinet is basically shot. i bought tolex and was going to redo it all. i don't have patience for that shit. or the tools, really. plus that thing is 10,000 tons.
tomorrow i'm going to call peavey and see if i can try to get a 6505 headshell because that'll be super easy. otherwise... anybody have any leads?
