This is good shit. And I love that description. Pentagram is one of those bands that I really like, but never really listen to for some reason. Kinda like The Melvins.

Small doses of Indian for me. Epic band, but after more than three tracks i'm just drained.

Pretty much me too. The first time I heard Guiltless, I had never heard such menace. It was like hearing Blood and Thunder or Locust Star all over again. But after a few listens I was exhausted.

Indian is brutal and emotioally painfull to listen to. Amazing band, I hope to see them live again. That album is not something I would want to put on to relax too. If I was planning on a murder suicide, woul proobably be apropriate. Amazing muscianship to be able to invoke those feelings

When i'm in a terrible mood or really stressed bands like Indian and Rwake are amazingly cathartic for me. I just need to be alone with my headphones and a beer and feel like the apocalypse is starting for an hour.

And I am up for db challenge we'd need to figure an easy way to measure that was consistent. Hooked up both 2x12's, both 4x12's the gkbass cab today. Was fucking awesome. Later I might try getting tonys rig invloved.

The new Ogre is awesome though, I don't really pay much attention to the vocals in most doom, but I love it in this.

Yeah, I was gonna say when it comes to inspiring dread, the new Indian is pretty much tops. I haven't had a chance to listen much to Thou or Conan yet but i'm sure they are great.

I think the new Indian record is fucking awesome. It is menacing though and it can make you feel full of dread and anxiety. It's cool in that regard. Definitely not for everybody. It has some annihilating properties that can really set it over the top.

That being said, the new Thou record is incredible. I'm not sure if DOOM is what you call them or not but it's awesome. It has its moments where it goes into a lull and comes out of it so forcefully. A very beautiful record. I wish they'd play near me.

Also dug on that Slowmatics record quite a bit. I should revisit it.

I see Rwake like I see Indian, but I do love Indian that little bit more because... you know... Will.

The most recent Rwake album is a little easier to listen to actually. The female singer, who screeches like a banshee, doesn't perform as much, and the guitar solos give off a feeling of security that bands like Indian and Rwake rip away.

Voices of Omens is fucking incredible.

I also think that part of what makes Rwake so awesome is that, unlike a lot of other bands, they can seriously play their instruments. It's not just BRUNH-BRUNH-BRUHN-SLIDE-to-the-OCTAVE-and-back BRUHN-BRUHN-BRUHN

And every time I see a recent photo of them I get freaked out by the lack of dreads.

Rwake's sum badmotherfuckers and CT in particular is a righteous dude. Saw 'em in Little Rock a couple years ago, they opened with AC/DC's For those about to rock, which surprised the fuck outta me but was amazing regardless.
